As the title shows, this project is a study or a taxonomy of the programatic categories and subcategories of the urban context. a portion of the city of boston is taken apart to be studied in terms of its 8%program. under construction It is classified in into 7 different programs according to their typologies. Properties of these typologies such as area ,in terms of square footage and percentage, footprint areas, total built and unbuilt areas, number of buildings per typology and size ratios are anaylzed and compared.268 Similarly, the same methodology is implemented, but now at a smaller scale, analyzing the program of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum which is 2.3M 2.5M located in the portion of the

RESIDENCE BUILDING BERLIN’S MITTE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MASTER PLAN IN THIS BERLIN’S MITTE SITE, THE IDEA WAS TO CREATE A METROPOLITAN/URBAN DYNAMIC SPACE FOR THE INTERACTION OF PEOPLE AS OPPOSED TO TRADITIONAL BERLIN’S RESIDENCIAL ARCHITETURE HAVING PRIVATE SMALL COURTYARDS. FOR THE BUILDING, THE IDEA WAS TO DEFINE A PLAZA IN THE PUBLIC SPACE CREATED IN THE SITE AND CREATE AN AUDIENCE FOR THIS PLAZA.
BERLIN, GERMANY
KUNSTHAUS TACHELLES The Site is located in the intersection of prominent streets Oranienburger Straße and Friedrich Straße, and adjacent to the kunstahaus tacheles. The Kunsthaus Tacheles (Art House Tacheles) was an art center in Berlin, Germany, a large (9,000 m2 (97,000 sq ft)) building and sculpture park on Oranienburger Straße in the district known as Mitte. Huge, colorful graffiti-style murals are painted on the exterior walls, and modern art sculptures are featured inside. The building houses an artists collective which is threatened with eviction.

Originally called "Friedrichsstadtpassagen", it was built as a department store in the Jewish quarter (Scheunenviertel) of Berlin, next to the synagogue.[2] Serving as a Nazi prison for a short while, it was later partially demolished. After the Berlin Wall had come down, it was taken over by artists, who called it Tacheles, Yiddish for "straight talking".[2] The building contained studios and workshops, a nightclub, and a cinema. Outside, the garden featured an open air exhibition of metal sculptures as well as galleries and studios for sculptors and painters. A part of the garden still remains open to the public.

PUBLIC LIBRARY BOSTON’S CHINATOWN THE SITE IN WHICH THIS LIBRARY WAS TO BE CONSTRUCTED IS LOCATED IN THE ENTRANCE OF CHINATOWN, ALSO INFRONT OF THE CHINATOWN PARK, AND WHERE BOSTON’S GREENWAY BEGINS, MAKING IT A VERY PROMINENT SITE AND PLACE OF GREAT SOCIAL INTERACTION. THEREFORE THE IDEA WAS TO CREATE A LIBRARY NOT EXCLUSIVELY FRO THE CHINATOWN COMMUNITY, BUT TO ALL THE COMMUTERS AND PEOPLE IN THE PUBLIC SPACES ADJACENT TO THE SITE.
BOSTON CHINATOWN Chinatown, Boston is a neighborhood located in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. It is the only historically surviving ethnic Chinese area in New England since the demise of Chinatown in Providence, Rhode Island after the 1950's. Because of the high population of Asian Americans living in this area of Boston, there are an abundance of Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants located in Chinatown. It is one of the most densely populated residential areas in Boston, and is the center of Asian American life there. Chinatown borders the Boston Common, Downtown Crossing, the Washington Street Theatre District, Bay Village, the South End, and the Southeast Expressway/Massachusetts

CHARLESTOWN + THE SITE
PROPOSED URBANISM
Charlestown is the oldest neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.[1] Originally called Mishawum by the Massachusett, it is located on a peninsula north of the Charles River, across from downtown Boston, and also adjoins the Mystic River and Boston Harbor. Charlestown was laid out in 1629 by engineer Thomas Graves, one of its early settlers, in the reign of Charles I of England. It was originally a separate town and the first capital of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. In the 21st century, Charlestown's diversity has expanded dramatically, along with growing rates of the very poor and very wealthy. Today Charlestown is a residential neighborhood that contains many housing near the waterfront which overlooks the Boston skyline. Charlestown is home to many historic sites, hospitals, and organizations. With easy access from the Orange line Community College stop or 93 expressway, Charlestown is a historic place to visit. However, the neighborhood still has industrial water front on its northern front with the mystic river which could start revitilizing with the development of the proposed urbanism and individual housing and Mix-use projects for each site
