01 Stable A Home For The Horses In Yunnan Lugu Lake, YunNan

Yunnan horses (yoho) played an important role in transporting goods along the ancient tea-horse route. Nowadays, the horses have been replaced by modern transport. Many local horse caravans choose to sell their horses to make a living, resulting in a drastic decline in the number of Yoho. The design of this project is to build a shelter with the horse (yohu) as the main body, hoping to protect this species through the form of architecture, and at the same time let the culture and spirit of the Dian horse be inherited.

02 Baths THE REVIVAL OF BATHING CULTURE The Villa Adriana, Italy

The bathhouse, once a central element of Roman society, faced decline with the fall of the empire. Despite the challenges of plunder and time, Hadrian's Palace, akin to the fading Roman bathing culture, stands as a remarkable cultural heritage. The project draws inspiration from the classic Roman baths, reinterpreting their architectural essence through the lens of modern design. Centered around water, the project unfolds a series of spectacles, offering a homage to the historical significance and enduring allure of Roman bathing traditions.

Site Location Water is a major component in the forming of an interesting axial landscape at Hadrian's Villa. In spite of the wide variety of fountains and pools employed, water becomes a unifying element.

Case Study

Concept

The Baths of Caracalla were built by order of the Emperor of Caracalla around 200 AD, and today's Romanesque baths are modeled on it. The study analyzed its circulation and function to draw out the general layout of the plan.

The design unfolds with the centre of water. Water's uniqueness lies in its infinite flexibility, its reflection of light, and its suggestion of perpetual movement both aural music and visual theatrical spectacle.

03 FACADE PARAMETRIC DESIGN of RESPONSIVE FACADE Shang hai, JiiangSu

Group Members:Yuntao Wang, Lan Wei, Sixian Yao, Qiming Yan, Wenzhe Wang, Muchen Zhang, Zuming Yang The facade design employs meticulous parametric strategies to allow the exploration of various solutions based on different data, aiming to improve building performance and be responsive to the changes of solar radiation in different seasons and times of the day. As a team member, I participated in discussions, proposed concepts and made test models in the early stage. In the later stage, I was mainly responsible for 1:10 model making and taking photos of models. 12

Utilization of solar power

121°47 E 31°23 N Summer sunshine in Shanghai is more uniform in the east and west upwards, which indicates that the building will be exposed to direct sunlight for a longer period.

Despite the fact that Shanghai's cloud cover is greater than 50% almost all year round, the sun rays are still very strong on the buildings. Therefore, shading systems are essential.

Higher summer temperatures and the higher problem of excessive sunlight, the skin strategy of a building should not only consider sunlight ingress in cold period, but also shading.

14

We combine folding and rotating , corresponding to insulation and lighting measures, respectively, to solve the uneven distribution of light and heat over time on the site. In extreme cases, the building will close the skin to maximize comfort. Solar energy will also be utilized to reduce energy loss.

04 DARKness MUSEUM The space of darkness & the design of the light Shanghai, China

An Fu Road is in a state of over-exposure, people pursue good looking, fame and gradually lose the sense of selves. To counteract this, a contrasting sanctuary emerges—a dark space that shields individuals from external influences, fostering an exploration of their inner worlds. Navigating this dark museum is a challenging yet intriguing journey. At journey's end, light permeates through water, symbolizing a rejuvenating emergence from darkness, inviting self-discovery and a renewed connection with one's true essence.

“Somewhere and Nowhere" Exhibition

A practice of rural regeneration

A exhibition in the alley

Eryuan County, Dali, Yunnan Province, China

Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China

Nowadays, people are chasing entertainment and sensory experiences at the same time. The variety of choices blind us from what lay in front of us.Botou Village is a peaceful countryside located in Yunnan, surrounded by mountains. Therefore, the intention was to design a spatial installation that would change people's experience and help them focus on the "present" and appreciate the scenery of everyday life. Sustainable development is achieved by protecting the environment while revitalising rural development.

In the past decades, China has experienced a sharp increase in its rate of urbanisation. Almost everyone in China has the experience of moving from one place to another. Sometimes we knew why we chose another place to go, but sometimes we did not know, and we just went without knowing. I participated in the design, landing and construction of Node B and NodeF in the design team. https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/sIRpwKUF0fd5XziddyQHdg
