Cotton Rose Paradise Master Plan for Cotton Rose Paradise @ Chengdu, China

Location: Chengdu, Sichuang Province, P. R. China Date: 01/17/2011~05/10/2011 Project Type: Studio Project/ Team Work/ Individual Work Responsibility: Case Study, Programming, Site Analysis, Collaboration of the master plan CAD, part of Master Plan CAD and Colour Rendering, individual site Design Summary: This is a studio project with teamwork; the master plan to the left is the effort of all the studio students. Then, each individual student was assigned to develop a site design for a target area of our selection. My individual selection is a residential community with the main theme of Cotton Rose. This project created a residential community of Cotton Rose. Located in the greater context of a master Plan for the three square kilometres town of Xinxing, this newly realized village was transformed into a place that has attracted many new residents, tourists, artists, and business people while improving the lives of the existing populace. This example community shows the town to be a seat of beauty that both cultivate and celebrate the Cotton Rose. It is designed to be a place to live, work and learn, while at the same time it serves as a destination for visitors by attracting them with opportunities to relax, places to play, chances to shop and venues in which to gather.
