About me I am a 22 year old Architecture graduate student from Liverpool who is passionate for architecture and loves designing. I see Architecture as art that needs to be admired and not something you walk past by. I love the idea of problem solving in design as there are many other design solutions that are there and can be modelled and always keen to explore new architectural styles. I always express my creative thinking through sketching and model making and developing my skills on digital CAD softwares. I aspire to become a great architect and can’t wait to begin the new step of this journey.

Comprehensive Design Project The Birkenhead School of Art 3rd Year
THE SITE - Hamilton St, Birkenhead. The site sits on Hamilton St adjacent the Hamilton railway station which has easy access for visitors when approaching the school. The site is a car park for offices nearby, and there are many other car parks nearby that can be used. Therefore, this site is a perfect location for access and its identity upon the skyline of Birkenhead which can be seen from Liverpool.
Concept
The concept behind the project is ‘Light’ sepcifically daylight as this is mainly required for an art school. The idea is to play with the lighting conditions in Birkenhead and apply them to the school. The idea is to get as much light into the building for spaces that need light. The main question is, How can light be portrayed in an art school?
B S A
1 - Depicting form by the site boundary
4 - Roof pitches angled according to getting light from North and South.
2 - Void for the centre for a street connection between Albion st and Hamilton st. Creating two rectangular forms for the school.
5 - Creating voids for the tower and outdoor spaces for fresh and relaxing spaces.
3 - Push and pull heights of the form in relation to the site context, a tower to relate to the tall structures of Birkenhead.

Weather or Not National Trust Centre 3rd Year
THE SITE - National Trust Site, Windermere. The site sits on the National Trust in Windermere, Cumbria. With the Lake District it has the most annual rainfall in the UK which has led to many disasters such as floods that have destructed houses and infrastructure. The building site sits on a sloped hill off near the lake where it does flood and highest ever recorded was 1.2 m high shown on the diagram below of its distance.

exhibtion The battle between the stones and the surface, erupting from the ground in various forms and directions. The battle replicates how stones were folded and faulted and push their way up to earth’s surface. The idea of stone formed by tectonics plates pushing up towards earth surface and half coming out the ground influenced the building form. The photo taken from the site itself showing many stones on the ground surface which led to a pattern sketch and then led the idea of slates texture of lines which is added to the facades of the building. With natural stone being one of the key elements in the Lake District, the concept links to the site very well. Windermere’s mountains was also a influence in the form of the building, which the building is orientated North with great views of Windermere mountains.

EXPLODED AXONOMETRIC
The main strategy was to have low carbon emissions and materials for the centre. Therefore, local materials such as timber and lakeland slate are both retrieved from UK which both have environmental benefits. The construction strategy is glulam columns and beams with cross laminated timber flooring and walls to help hold the overall structure. The columns are placed on a grid system with connecting beams. Large beams are used in the exhibition space as this is a column free space

Liverpool Live Lounge 2nd Year
THE SITE - Jamaica St, Liverpool.
The area built with mostly red brick, warehouses and garages that are converted into studios, cafe and places for young professionals. This is a good site for a live lounge as the area hosts partys and music events.
Concept
Implementing rhythm used in music into architceture. Regular rhythm displaying elements that are often repeated in different sizes or length. Flowing rhythm gives off the sense of movement.
1 - Removing existing derelict buildings.
3 - Void the centre for an outdoor courtyard space
2 - Raising the building up considerably, 12m high.
4 - Pushing and pulling, defining a slope form on two facades

Urban Design Urban carpark 2nd Year
THE SITE - Fabric District, Liverpool.
The Fabric District famously known for it’s stores of fashion and fabrics and superstores such as T.J Hughes. The area has many warehouses of locals selling products and objects. Now with the area developing with student accommodations its time for the area to have developments for all its users and for it to become an attraction.
Concept
Urban carpark was selected to further develop the masterplan of the Fabric Dsitrict. To design a space that enhances the five senses.
1 - Pulling out level over the carpark.
2 - Curving the roof level relating to the high-rise parks form.
3 - Adding green spaces and access paths.
4 - Adding viewing deck and facade with cut frames that also act as wind breakers.
During the night the seating steps and stage turn into a cinema.
During the day the space acts as a social space and stage for daytime performances.
