I proudly announce that my project "Egyptian Museum Extension at Cairo - Linking Museum to Nile" was officially published in "Landscape Middle East" magazine, February 2019 issue.
On March 28, 2014, the Egyptian government decided to demolish the building of the National Democratic Party, which was burned during the Egyptian revolution in 2011, and to allocate space to create an extension to the Egyptian museum in Cairo.
The idea of the project was to directly connect the Egyptian museum with the Nile River, passing through its expansion, and make a pier for cruise ships and boats in front of the museum. In addition, use the entire project area above the extension itself as a huge garden with rich vegetation.
The project includes a large museum garden with ancient Egyptian statues, temporary exhibitions and facilities for cultural events, multi-purpose halls, auditoriums, shopping areas, restaurants and cafes, as well as a large area surrounding the artificial lake connected to the Nile River for events.
