Message from the president Pope Francis, in the encyclical entitled “On Care For Our Common Home”, says: “This sister [Earth] now cries out to us because of the harm we have inflicted on her by our irresponsible use and abuse of the goods with which God has endowed her. We have come to see ourselves as her lords and masters, entitled to plunder her at will. The violence present in our hearts, wounded by sin, is also reflected in the symptoms of sickness evident in the soil, in the water, in the air and in all forms of life. We have forgotten that we ourselves are dust of the earth (cf. Gen 2:7); our very bodies are made up of her elements, we breathe her air and we receive life and refreshment from her waters” (LS, 2). The production of food does not escape the challenge of reaching sustainable food production systems to achieve healthy diets for everyone. Alimento para Todos IAP, always concerned about the food safety of its beneficiaries and about the recovery of food in a decent manner, collaborates in the caring of homes, especially of those who are the most impoverished. They are those who mostly suffer the consequences of the destruction of Earth. The disasters, floods, loss of biodiversity, droughts, climate change, affect the weakest and most vulnerable people more than anyone else. Humanity needs to build a better future for everyone: “men and women are still capable of intervening positively. For all our limitations, gestures of generosity, solidarity and care cannot but well up within us, since we were made for love” (LS, 58). Alimento para Todos IAP is an example that it is possible, our work is reflected on the smiles of our children, of our elders, of our beneficiaries for whom each day our donors, operative team, trustees, and counselors keep giving everything they can to achieve our Mission. APT Institution of Private Assistance that operates under the model of a Food Bank, beneďŹ ts 60,489 people weekly. In 2018 it recovered 14,000 tons of food and disused basic goods, inserting itself in the value chain of 2,927 allies, and adding the effort of 15,784 volunteers and 86 collaborators.

The total revenues in 2018 increased by 32% compared to fiscal year 2017
The temporarily restricted donations allocated to the two priority areas of APT totaled $2,006 from NGOs abroad.

From the total income, unrestricted donations were received for $106,567 from the private sector and $22,253 from the NGOs.
Total expenses in 2018 showed an increase by 34% compared to the previous fiscal year, in proportion to the assistance growth.
The donations channeled to institutions and communities increased to $140,136.
The recovery fees received for the supply and distribution of the aid granted represented a daily contribution per beneficiary of $2.40 pesos.
On average, the cost of assistance per beneficiary attended amounted to $1,81 per day.
32% of the net change in the accounting patrimony generated corresponds to temporarily restricted donations; the remaining 68% strengthens patrimonial reserves for the permanence and sustainability of our programs.
