THE CONCEPT STARTED FROM A CIRCLE, DEFINED BY THE STRUCTURE OF THE VOLUME - ROUND CONCRETE PLATFORMS WITH INDEPENDENT STRUCTURE.

THE INSIDE SPACES ARE FORMED AFTER AN ORTHOGONAL SYSTEM, WITH CENTRAL CIRCULATION. THE ROOMS ARE RECTANGULAR IN PLAN, INDEPENDENT IN POSITIONING, GIVING THE POSIBILITY OF FUTURE RESHAPING IN THE MODEL.

RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS - YEAR 2018-2019 - GROUP PROJECT GRIGORAS ALINA & PERDICA ADRIAN
The main focus was to capture the essence and freedom of the nature and translate it inside the project. The volumes are protected from the city creating a safe space inside the site and at the same time represent a major point of interest for the outsiders which are atracted by the public zones. We did not want just to extend the limits of the city, but to create a new area that acts as a barier that separates the natural habitat from the visual and phisical pollution of the city. We did that by translating the hill of the forest inside to residential complex. Underneath it we added an underground road, which has a practical use, to relieve the traffic and the area and to facilitate the acces to the underground parking, but also to avoid spliting the site from the forest itself .

From the beginning I imagined my garden with exuberant vegetation and oversize trees, that seem to conquer the place, to balance somehow the heaviness of the heavy buildings that surround the city. The detail was in the central tree, that was the first thing you see when you enter the garden and stays in your mind with the whole garden even if you donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t consciously notice its presence.
In the Japanese garden I saw for the first time the beauty of raw nature intertwined with structures made by man. The display of elements in layers, to slowly absorb you into the heart of the garden.

These are the first sketches, with a totally different garden but with the same goal. To create a space where the overbearing vegetation is put in value by artificial surfaces, creating a parcourse, a story of the garden, not only an image.

The project started from the area of the train station and the existing museum, connecting them and the new project undergound, with a rectangular shape that cuts through the site. The museum is connected to the new building not only underground but also on the superior floors, becoming one of the areas of exhibition. The train station elongates into a tall tower, in which are located the small living areas for the artists.

THIS PROJECT IS A LANDMARK WHICH IS MEANT TO UNITE AND CONNECT STUDENTS AND THE LARGE PUBLIC INTO ONE SPACE THAT CAN BE A PLACE OF BOTH WORK AND ENTERTAINMENT
Because on the site there were hardly any favorable perspectives, I had to transform the building itself into a landscape. The parametric green roof is accesible from the ground floor but also from the superior floors. Because of its shape, the building blends into the background, underlining the angled roof of the houses that surround it.
