LA CIUTADELLA Designing to open the ciutadella park to the city which was a walled park, not easily accessed to the public, considered as a voild between three main tissues, disconnected from the surroundings and not functioning as the main green space in the city as it is designed to be. The Aim is to make it easily accessed to the public, more connected with the surroundings, introducing public spaces inside the park which serves the existing public buildings, new pedestrian and vehicular routes and upgrading the city facade coming from the Forum to the ciutadella by adding new blocks.

The village of New Gourna, which was partially built between 1945 and 1948, is possibly the most well known of all of Hassan Fathys projects because of the international popularity of his book, ÂŤArchitecture for the PoorÂť. Hassan Fathys style was known of his usage of local materials and vernacular architecture. We were asked to re-design a one story building with was occubied by a family of 5 respecting hassan fathy style of design and principles.
