SCOPE To design the Interiors and Exteriors of luxury train for tourists to promote Madhya Pradesh tourism, providing all facilities like sleeping chambers, restaurant, bar lounge, retail store, theatre room, aryurvedic spa, mini gym and business centre. Giving tourists all luxury comforts during their trip.
CONCEPT The concept for luxury train is to highlight the Art, craft and Culture of Madhya Pradesh for Madhya Pradesh Tourism by taking idea from the exterior structure of the forts, using the famous art and crafts of different cities and villages of M.P. Each coach will be different from the other as every coach will be based on different Maharaja’s and Maharani’s of Madhya Pradesh.
CLIENT DESCRIPTION Madhya Pradesh Tourism made an improvement in the tourism sector of the state. The richness and diversity of tourism destinations of, Madhya Pradesh is the best state of the nation. The Government of Madhya Pradesh has initiated towards a number of measures to position the state as the leading tourism state of the nation in the last few years. Now being recognized as one of the leading tourism states of the nation, much more still needs to bedone.

COMPARITIVE ANALYSIS OF CASE STUDY • Palace On Wheels (Train Visit) • Maharaja Express (Online) • Seven Star Kyushu (Online)
CONCLUSION : • The concept of naming the coaches and having differnt theme for each coach according to the name of the coach. • Designing products inspired from the art, craft and culture. • The number of coaches will be less but well planned and designed. • The space of each room will be more than the same space that have been applied in all Indian Luxury Trains. • There will be only two types of rooms not more than that. • The staff will have a seperate coach for accomodation. • Interior will be minimal yet traditional. • The textiles would be inspired from their famous cities or villages.
PROPOSED TRAIN
TRAIN ROUTE AND LOGO DESIGN
Name of the Train : Central Maharani Train Type : Luxury Train Train Route : Delhi to Madhya Pradesh Capacity of Passengers : 38 No. of Coaches : 14 Cities to be covered : 8 Why Central Maharani - As this train is luxurious depicting the era of Maharani’s in the central part of India which is madhya pradesh. This is how the name Central Maharani came into place. To plan how many coaches I want to add I went through the case studies and saw how many coaches they have an what all facilities they have provided. On the basis of that I decided that I would go for 14 coaches as we ususally have 23 coaches and if we compare it to international trains there coaches are less with more of design concept. So I decided that with less coaches and more design I will give all the facilities that the luxury train requires.
LOGO - OPTION 1
These are the following requirements: The train has seven sleeping coaches, each coach will have three cabins(double bed and twin bed both). Out of six sleeping coaches, five coaches will be suites and rest two will be presidential suites. There will be one coach for Spa, Salon and Gym. Souveneir shop is also provided. There will be two fine dining restaurants and one bar cum lounge. One kitchen and one staff coach.
Name of the coaches
1. Bar cum Lounge - Begum (Bhopal) 2. Restaurant 1 - Nawab (Indore) 3. Restaurant 2 - Ahiliya (Maheshwar) 4. Presidential suite 1 - Man singh (Gwalior) 5. Presidential suite 2 - Ashoka (Sanchi) 6. Suite 1 - Chandela (Khajuraho) 7. Suite 2 - Rudra (Orchha) 8. Suite 3 - Durgavati (Jabalpur) 9. Suite 4 - Sultan (Mandu) 10. Spa and Salon - ujjaiyani (Ujjain) 11. Souveneir shop - Madhav(shivpuri)
Final map was made rerouting final places of attraction. the above shown picture is the route from where the train will start and end. Starting from New Delhi railway station the train will depart in the morning and then will stop at the Gwalior station for one whole day which is from where Madhya Pradesh starts. From Gwalior it will move down to sanchi station and will depart at night for the next station, then comes next is Ujjain(The City of Temples) and then again at night it will move on for the next station that is Indore, after enjoying all the tourists spots the guests will have their dinner on train and the train will depart and will stop to the Khajuraho station and again will leave for the last station that is Orchha and from there back to New Delhi. NOTE : The time taken to travel from ome station to another is maximum of 7-8 hours.
LOGO - OPTION 2 Sanchi Stupa as the main image of the logo to depict M.P. The circular motif used as a border. These were the two options which were made and out of which the first one was chosen.
