A Letter from Our Sponsor
Julie Wake and Jerry Sargent or over thirty years, the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod has welcomed one of the nation’s finest and best-loved musical ensembles — the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra — to the Hyannis Village Green. At Citizens Bank, we are immensely proud to continue our support as presenting F sponsor again in 2018.
We believe strongly that citizenship is at the heart of who we are, rooted in the belief that when people and communities reach their potential, we all thrive. This concert is a special event which draws thousands of people to the Hyannis Village Green and speaks to the exceptional work that the Arts Foundation does to bring public art, music and other activities to Cape Cod and the Islands. It’s our privilege to take our place alongside the Arts Foundation to celebrate this event which goes a long way to strengthen individuals, families, and businesses. While we are active in the community throughout the Cape and Islands, Pops By The Sea is something that our colleagues and customers from the Cape and beyond look forward to. The Cape is a special place any time of year, but especially during the summer, it is great to be part of Citizens Bank Pops by the Sea and to welcome this concert to Hyannis. We’re able to connect with customers and colleagues during the concert and share this great experience that is open for everyone to attend. In my role as Massachusetts President for Citizens Bank, I travel around to different community events and I also spend a lot of time meeting with clients throughout the state, but there is something magical about visiting the Cape for a Pops concert on a warm summer evening. The guest conductor always adds an element of excitement and energy to the concert. I have personally enjoyed the wide range of guest conductors, such as the Emmy award-winning Blythe Danner to Blue Man Group. But once again, the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod hit a home run with Dermot Mulroney participating in this year’s concert. His talent as an actor and musician is a thrilling addition to the Boston Pops and Maestro Keith Lockhart. As you enjoy the Pops tonight, I do want to acknowledge the great work that the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod has done to increase access to the arts for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities here on Cape Cod. We are proud to strongly support their work and their efforts to bring truly life changing experiences to as many people as possible.
Best, Jerry Sargent President, Citizens Bank Massachusetts
