PROFILE I am an Interior Designer working and living in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. I graduated from Iowa State University in 2013 where I was involved in many extracurricular activities such as Sigma Kappa Sorority, IDSA and Destination Iowa State. In my professional life, I have also found it very important to stay involved. I am one of the social chairs at OPN Architects, a member on IIDA’s Design Montage Committee and involved in Big Brothers, Big Sisters. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my two handsome bulldogs, exploring the great outdoors and experimenting with new cooking recipes. I’ve always had an adventurous spirit and am excited to see where life leads me next!
EXPERIENCE INTERIOR DESIGNER OPN ARCHITECTS / DES MOINES, IA JULY 2013 - PRESENT In my last two+ years as a professional, I have worked on projects that involve quick sketching, rendering, ADA code requirements, universal design, space planning, finish selections, concept development, lighting, and collaborative teamwork with an emphasis on corporate design.
INTERIOR DESIGNER (INTERN) LILU INTERIORS / MINNEAPOLIS, MN MAY 2012 - AUGUST 2012 At my summer internship before my senior year, I worked on residential projects that focused on finish selections, lighting, space planning, color theory, concept development and design concepts and principals.
