HCSC Montana Headquarters New Construction of corporate o ce space 93,000 SF , 3 oors Project started by doing a program study and audit of space in two existing buildings, including surveying existing occupants, their planned growth (2-5 years), and the physical space. We then created the program for the local architect of the new facility.

Once a massing was developed by the architect we worked to layout the divisional spaces, adjacencies, and adjust surrounding program requirements. In addition we made FF&E selections and coordinated the installation schedule. I made site visits during each phase leading up to coordinating the move out of approximately 375 employees and peripherals from the existing existing buildings into the newly completed building.

New building brought staff together in one building and gave employees space and technology to collaborate and share content in new ways. We wanted the oors to feel connected and collaborative in order to better promote wellness. To reinforce this idea we made the grand staircase connecting the oors a focal point.

Open Collaboration Space
The existing 20 year old o ce space is being refreshed in 23 phases. The refresh includes ceiling, lighting, carpet, furniture, branding, AV, bathrooms, multipurpose room and break room. I assisted in FF&E selection for all phases and strategic planning of move phases. The o ce's current capacity of 460 people, will increase to 520 while also gaining upgraded technology, collaboration and wellness spaces. Approximately 370 employees are affected throughout the various phases of the project.

LONGITUDINAL SECTION The primary strategy is to clearly understand the end user. On collecting data on Red Hook we realized that most of the people here either live by them selves or are living with another person, known or unknown. Basic amenities like theatres, pharmacies and bars are absent. Interaction between people is minimum resulting in a loss of a sense of community. Our STUDIO APARTMENT
proposal is to bring people together in a large open plaza and other secondary open spaces allowing them to meet, interact, and come together as a community.
