Small in size but mighty in skill, the Flex Lumbar pack is a smaller, hip-sized version of our Flex Capacitor backpack for day hikes, bike rides and casual outings. Thanks to our expanding gusset innovation, flexible carrying capacity comes naturally. Loosen it up to get extra space for bulky layers, snacks and trail accessories, or cinch it down to stabilize smaller loads. Two elastic mesh pockets on the sides fit most water bottles, and plush padding on the hip belt straps makes this low-back pack a comfortable, low-profile companion for many body shapes.

Sustainable Materials

Sleep soundly without damaging the environment. All Sierra Designs quilts are constructed with 100% recycled fabrics and a water-resistant finish that is C0 PFC. When it comes to insulation, we purchase all our down from Responsible Down Standard (RDS) sourced certified suppliers that a consumer can track. For synthetic bags, we use 100% recycled SierraLoft Eco synthetic insulation.

Iso Tested

Temperature rating is of the utmost importance when selecting a bag/quilt. You want to know you’ll have a good experience out in the elements. To give you peace of mind, we’ve ISO tested all of our quilts. This ensures the most accurate comfort and limit ratings to give you confidence when choosing your sleeping quilt.

Hideaway Hood

Quilts with our hideaway hood give you the option of using a quilt like a blanket, or like a sleeping bag. When not in use, the hood simply seals up and is out of the way to allow use just like a blanket, but when needed, allows you to use the quilt like a mummy bag to keep your head warm.

DRIDOWN™

DriDown™ is natural down insulation treated with a molecular level polymer, creating a hydrophobic finish on individual down plumes. We use DriDown™ in our Nitro Quilts and the result is insulation that stays dry longer, lofts better, and dries faster than untreated down.

Pad Lock

Backcountry sleep systems need to be able to change. Maybe you’re counting every ounce for a thru hike or maybe you’re craving a plush sleeping pad for your car camping trip. That’s why we created the Pad Lock, an elastic material that allows for compatibility with any sleeping pad size, all while preventing you from slipping off of your pad, so you can enjoy a more comfortable night’s sleep. Pad Locks are securely attached to your stuff sack so you don’t have to worry about losing them.

An oversized comforter made from durable nylon ripstop drapes over your upper body and tapers into a traditional bag design at the feet, giving you freedom to roll into your favorite position without kicking off the covers while you sleep. Insulated hand pockets keep the warm air in, and a hideaway hood with an opening for your mouth and nose lets you cinch up the comfort while still letting you breathe.
