Caoimhe is reading her favourite story about bears at home, and Poppy wants to play.

Caoimhe teaches Poppy how to dance and clap handies

Later that night after mummy and daddy put Caoimhe to bed and everyone is asleep, Caoimhe hears a bear growling outside. She decides that tomorrow she and Poppy will go on a hunt for the bear

The next day, they go out to the back garden and find a cave.

They go in to the cave and find a sleeping bear. Poppy gets scared of the bear and begins to shiver, Caoimhe tries to soothe Poppy and this wakes up the bear.

The bear roars and says he is not happy. Caoimhe asks him why he isn't happy, she is happy all the time. The bear says he doesn't have anyone to play with and this is why he roars all the time.

So Caoimhe and Poppy teach the bear how to dance and clap handies. Caoimhe tells the bear that she and Poppy will come back every day to play with him, and the bear says that he is happy now.

The next day is Caoimhe's birthday and everyone is there having fun. The bear hears the party and wants to come inside. Everyone is frightened at the sight of the bear, but Caoimhe knows he just wants to play and invites him in to the party.

Everybody dances and claps handies for Caoimhe's birthday, and Caoimhe gives the bear a big hug. Poppy gets jealous and begs for a hug too.
