ENROLLMENT FEE: There is a one-time $75 enrollment fee for all memberships. This fee is waived for active military personnel & veterans. MEMBERSHIP UPGRADE: For an additional $10 a month, upgrade your membership to include Don Rodenbaugh Aquatics Center Membership. Please Note: Resident rates are for those who own a home, a business or are employed by a business that pays property taxes to the City of Allen.

The Saplings Playroom is a safe and engaging environment for little ones to explore, play and make new friends while at Terrell Recreation Center. Our playroom provides up to 2 hours of daily supervised care for children age 3 months to 9 years.

Fitness Floor CARDIO EQUIPMENT The cardio zone holds top-of-the-line Precor and Aviron equipment. The machines provide high-tech features such as wireless cellphone battery chargers and large, next-gen screens to screencast favorite shows f rom your phone.

STRENGTH TRAINING Build strength and tone muscle in our second-floor strength-training area with equipment f rom Hammer Strength, Precor and Life Fitness. Discover a variety of circuit machines and f ree weights designed to target every muscle group.

ADVENTURE TRACK For the seasoned runner, leisurely walker and everyone in between, our indoor adventure track offers a comfortable place to move year-round. The track loop is 1/9-mile and adventure track (with stairs and inclined options) is 1/8-mile loop.

FITNESS DECK Step outside onto our outdoor f itness deck, equipped with medicine balls, ropes, chin-up bars, a punching bag, and more, for an exercise experience in the f resh air. This zone is a great space to weave functional training workouts into your routine.

The Rec Gym MULTI-SPORT COURTS Round out your f itness routine and meet f riends for a game on our versatile gym courts. Our Rec Gym is comprised of three half-sized courts, one which includes an athletic turf option for games like futsal, indoor soccer and turf training. Maintain your baseball or softball skills year-round with our indoor batting cages and slow-to-fast pitching machine, all on athletic turf. Sessions are by reservation only and online or in-person at the Member Services desk. Reservations for the batting cages are made on a f irst-come f irst-served basis.

The Fieldhouse Meet the f ieldhouse gymnasium, home to many future sessions of practice, play and competition for Allen. The gymnasium holds eight middle school/ four full-sized courts for games of basketball, volleyball and pickleball, as well as plenty of spectator seating. Throughout the year you can expect to see active adult leagues, adult and youth tournaments, specialty programming, scheduled practices for Allen Sports Association, dedicated open play hours and so much more.

GUEST POLICY Members are allowed to bring guests to the facility. Guests are required to pay the daily usage fees and sign off on a waiver for use of membership-based amenities.

MONTH-TO-MONTH MEMBERSHIPS A 30-day written notice is required to discontinue the monthly deduction. For the Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center, the one-time service fee at the time of membership set up is non-refundable. If a membership has been inactive for greater than 90 days, the $75 enrollment fee will be assessed again.

POLICIES SPECTATOR POLICY The facilities are controlled access. All persons entering the facility must have a current membership, purchase a day pass, or participate in a fee-forservice recreation program. Facilities do not allow free access for any persons entering the facility. For ASA practices, tournaments and events, access to the fieldhouse is granted. DEFINITION OF A FAMILY No more than two adult heads of household and dependents that are 26 years of age or younger in school or living at home. It also includes persons with special needs living as a single housekeeping unit at the same address. Dependents must be those that are claimed on taxes and proof may be requested by staff. PROOF OF RESIDENCY Resident rates are only available to those who live or work within the city limits of Allen and/or pay property taxes to the City of Allen. You must provide proof of residency or proof of employment within the City of Allen the first time you register in order to receive the resident rate. Once you are in our system, you will not need to prove residency again unless your address changes. Acceptable forms of proof include a valid driver’s license, state identification card, or current gas, electric, water or trash/recycle bill that shows your name and address. Allen residency is verified using Collin County Central Appraisal District website.

FREEZES In the event you are unable to utilize one of the recreational facilities, you may freeze your membership account for $10/month. Please visit the specific facility guidelines for more details. A member may request that their account be frozen. A reason for the freeze is not required. Freezes may be done on the day requested as well as in advance for a future date. All freezes must be a minimum of 30 days; there is not a maximum time an account can be frozen on monthly memberships. Memberships must be unfrozen in person. Unfreezing a membership can be done by the head of the household at the Member Services Desk at any time. FITNESS FLOOR/DECK AND GROUP EXERCISE No children under the age of 13 are allowed on the fitness floor or in group exercise classes, except for family classes. PLAYROOM Children ages 3 months to 9 years may stay for a maximum of two hours per day. Parents/guardians/designated persons are prohibited from leaving the facility grounds and can result in a 30day loss of Playroom privileges.

A WORD TO PARENTS Our goal is to provide patrons with a safe and clean atmosphere in which families can enjoy themselves in a recreational environment. Parents are expected to closely supervise their children when not participating in a program and assist in enforcing the facilities policies for the safety and enjoyment of all patrons. All children, ages nine years and under, must be accompanied by a supervising individual 16 years or older.
