BUTTER COOKIES from the kitchen of Hannah Warren

INGREDIENTS 1 lb. Butter 3/4 cup Sugar 2 tsp Vanilla 4 1/2 cup our (sifted)

1. Beat softened butter, sugar, and vanilla together 2. Kneed in sifted our 3. Roll into 2-2 1/2 inch diameter rolls. Roll in colored sprinkles. Then wrap logs in seran wrap 4. Put in fridge overnight 5. Slice into thin discs 6. Bake at 325 degrees for about 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS 1 lb. Butter 2 cups white sugar 1 1/2 cup slivered almonds 2 7oz chocolate bars

1. Melt 1 lb butter 2. Add 2 cups white sugar + bring to boil for 3 minutes 3. Add Slivered almonds. Cook, stiring constantly till 300 degrees (hard crack) 4. Pour onto cookie sheet 5. Spread 1 7oz chocolate bar on top. Let cool, invert + melt the other 7 oz bar on top 6. Let cool, and break into small bite sized pieces
