HIGHLAND PARK
Highland Park, known for its lush green spaces and higher elevation compared to the surrounding areas, has cultivated a friendly, engaged community and offers a luxurious lifestyle – all less than a 15-minute drive to Downtown, 10-minute drive to Love Field, and 30 minutes to DFW Airport. Tree-lined streets and well-manicured lawns welcome residents and visitors to the sprawling homes that dot the 2.26 square miles of prime landscape. Turtle Creek, a small tributary of the Trinity River, flows through the area and offers ideal locations for outdoor exercise and family picnics. Twenty percent of Highland Park is dedicated to park space, providing plenty of areas for children, grandchildren and family pets to run and play. Residents will also appreciate eight tennis courts and a town swimming pool. The Town of Highland Park is home to the Dallas Country Club, the oldest such club in the state of Texas. Highland Park Village is the town’s premier shopping area, offering highend boutiques, from local and international retailers. The restaurant scene in the neighborhood encompasses dining options that will suit all age groups and price points. From casual dining to gourmet bistros, Highland Park is consistently a popular dining destination. Highland Park children have the opportunity to attend schools in the highly rated Highland Park Independent School District. The district is served by five elementary schools, an intermediate school, a middle school and Highland Park High School in neighboring University Park. Highland Park and University Park make up the Park Cities. The town, between the Dallas North Tollway and U.S. 75 (North Central Expressway) has about 9,000 residents.
