streetscape future vision
SKINKER CORRIDOR FRAMEWORK studio jantzen, june-dec 2013
Masterplan and future vision for North Skinker corridor for client Washington University in St. Louis. I have been working on this project in the pre-concept phase for six months with Studio Jantzen and completed landscape design, street redesign to include bicycle infrastructure and ground floor building concept plans. Another of my responsibilities is coordination with consultants - urban design, landscape, lighting and traffic engineering.

A visual cost analysis was developed for the client, Washington University, in order to create a future plan easily achievable in three phases. I worked to develop high, medium and low design options featured on these pages. Low or temporary options being phase 1, whereas high options with new buildings are planned in the later phases. During this cost estimate, I coordinated landscape and urban design consultants and assembled a ‘cost estimating package’ to which costs were assigned by the estimator.

SCDA Singapore, 2012
I was selected for the prestigious SCDA scholarship and internship through Washington University in St. Louis. During two summer months in Singapore, I worked with architects, landscape architects and interior designers on projects in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and United Arab Emirates. The experience was incredible designing luxury condo towers, master planning for a resort, the conception of a new island and high density housing. This experience in South East Asia broadened my understanding of global architecture.

Between undergraduate and graduate school, I worked as an architectural intern at HDR Architecture’s headquarters in Omaha. During these seven months, the majority of my time was spent working on schematic design for McGill University Hospital, a shared Revit model with the team in Canada. Another portion of my time was spent assisting with construction documents for the suite level of TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, NE.
