Intro To The Joy Of Fly Fishing
Discover the joy of fly fishing in this hands-on course taught by experienced local fly fisherman. Develop a proficiency in fly-casting and increase your understanding of which fly to use. This course will focus on the basics, but will also include information for those who have prior experience. The last class students will meet at a location on the South Santiam River. CANOEING & KAYAKING
Got a canoe or kayak and would like to learn more or build upon your current paddling skills? Not only will this class provide measures for safe paddling, it will also allow you to practice concepts and techniques on the water. Learners will need their own paddlecraft, paddles, PFDs, and method to transport themselves to Freeway Lakes in Albany All classes will begin in the classroom and then transition to the water. ALBANY
Ever wanted to sound like a cast member of Downton Abbey, fool a cashier at the grocery store, or just learn more about how to use your voice? If you answered yes (in your head or especially out loud), this class is for you! This crash course in accent work promises to create a foundation of tools and techniques for students approaching voice work from any background. You’ll learn how to talk like a Brit, how to listen to and imitate others, and most importantly, how to sound more like yourself.

TRIPS & ADVENTURES
INVESTIGATING OREGON’S EXOTIC PET TRADE
Did you know that Oregon has an extensive exotic mammal, reptile, and bird trade? You will be introduced to a variety of species taken in as pets that are frequently rescued or confiscated by local and Federal authorities. As part of this course, you will be able to meet some of these animals kept for conservation and educational purposes at the Newport Discovery Zoo. You will learn how to recognize these animals and gain knowledge about permits, licensing, and how to care for them. Students will need to provide their own transportation to and from the zoo. Fee includes access to the Newport Discovery Zoo. Minors aged 16+ are welcome to register with the accompaniment of an adult guardian who must also register for the class.
Oregon Coastal Geology Tour
Hop in a van and enjoy an Oregon Coastal Geology Tour with a local and professional geologist. This tour will highlight various geologic features in Oregon’s Central Coastal Region (Newport area), including fossils, fluvial processes, signs of seismic hazards, and other geologic history of Oregon. Please meet at the Benton Center parking lot in Corvallis at 9:00 AM. Return time is approximately 5:00 PM. There will be a lunch stop in Newport, students will be responsible for the purchase of their own food. Fee includes transportation costs. GEOLOGY ADVENTURES: MARY’S PEAK
This Geology Adventure will take you on a day-long tour in a 12-passenger van to some of the local geological features in and around Corvallis up to the Mary’s Peak parking lot near the summit. Peaks, quarries, waterfalls, and more will fill this rich geologic history tour of the region around Corvallis. Fees include transportation costs. Please pack food and snacks for the day.
