I’m Allison Mayer, an award wining photographer from Indianapolis, Indiana. I’ve been blessed over the years to have a successful business and that my clients have trusted me to share in the most joyful and intimate moments of their lives.
ABOUT ALLISON
When I first went to Haiti in 2012 I was so excited to be able to document the work my church was doing to improve the lives of a parish in Duval, Haiti through the parish-twining program. What I didn’t expect was for that trip to have such a lasting impact on not only my life, but the lives of the people who viewed my images. It was through that powerful witness of photography that I realized a need. A need for images that connect people to people, souls to souls. Images that speak to who a person is, to the larger narrative of their life. So many striking images we see in media reduce people to the sum of one tragedy in their life. We don’t see images that tell us the story of Jasmine, the grandmother, who lost dozens of family members in an earthquake in Haiti but is still a joyful, resilient, and faithful woman. Instead we see an image of a Grandmother

who is summed up only by her suffering, who is nothing more than a token of tragedy. Someone we can’t connect too. So we flip the page, because we are numb, and we’ve been given no reason to care. My philosophy is that to water the life of a person down to one visual sound bite of their entire existence is an injustice.

My Goal is to provide your organization with high quality, emotionally evocative images, and the stories that accompany those images. You will be fully equipped to launch press, media, and other visual campaigns. You will receive: - All digital images delivered in an online gallery as well as a USB with High Resolution and Web Resolution Digital Negatives. - All appropriate biographical and geographical data for each image. - A written press Release - A pre-prepared 300 word article, a 600 word article, and a 1200 word article - Framed and signed images donated for Auction (attendance at suggested gallery fundraiser)
My day rate is $1000 and a minimum of 4 days are required per contract.
DETAILS
Included in my fee, I pay for all my own travel expenses. 30 Days notice is requested for International Travel. Exceptions can be made on an individual basis. Client is responsible for securing all necessary Visa’s A minimal additional fee will be charged for locations that require health precautions.
