Come along this green path in the park as it unfolds into a new kind of office. A new forum to exchange ideas, a fresh place of happiness, respite & innovation connecting Hana to the world. This new HQ in the park represents a new platform to ignite collaboration, connectivity and a global reach ensuring that Hana will be leading the changes happening in the financial industry. This path in the park will energize your employees, customers and the public in an infinite loop
to become One with the Hana Financial Group. The team landed on the idea of a “Fin Parc” as a conceptual driver for Hana Dreamtown to be aligned with the client vision pursuing FIN-Tech as future of this finanancial group. All walkways throughout the interior & exterior of the campus are transformed into architectural scaled ramps to connect people physically and visually through all floors & experiences.

The infinite number of ways one could chose to journey through the space was so well received by the client that they adopted the term “inFINite Parc”, as an endearing “re-branding” of the teams original concept phrase. The concept of “infinity” was explored from the macro to micro scale throughout the remaining design process. Using a combination of evidence-based research, prototyping, model making, and “infinite” iterative planning studies, the resulting design found this client’s ideal “yin and yang”. A balance between futureoriented workplace planning concepts & traditional work points, integrated technology and ample access to nature, and contemporary curves & crisp whites softened by vernacular motifs & natural materials.

From the top floor of one of the tallest buildings in downtown Spokane, Moss Adams, the largest accounting practice in the city, turned to NBBJ to create a collaborative workplace environment that celebrates wellness, brand, & privacy. With a large core & irregularly shaped shell, the design sought to address the client’s need for privacy between public & employee spaces, while still maximizing usable floor space & direct access to views for all employees. The design was inspired by the sculptural qualities of the nearby mountain range, expansive views of downtown, & varying qualities of light experienced within the space, thus giving name to the concept, “Sculpted by Light”.
e
The solution: a series of intimiate office “neighborhoods” defined by sculpted built & void space & accessed through singular entry points. Inspired by the process in which light is directed through a prism, built space is strategically manipulated to control access points & sightlines into the private office spaces. Funneled “neighborhood” entryways further reinforce the idea of the prism. Clearly defined paths of circulation provide a discernible separation between public & private spaces which allows for collaborative moments to be shared in the void spaces sculpted in-between. The design seeks to inspire the next generation of Moss Adam’s employees through beauty & light.

The design explores the sentimental relationship held between people & the place they call home & how those feelings of intimacy, comfort, & pride could be leveraged to create the ultimate healing environment for the people of San Francisco. The project aims to answer how a space can function as a state-ofthe-art medical facility while giving the appearance of a serene spa-like escape. The design incorporates quintessential SF icons & landmarks into a series of branded elements to be used as wayfinding &
environmental graphics. Materials & finishes allude to those found in the natural elements native to the region & the iconic “Karl the Fog” inspires a soft & elegant color palette of monochromatic & desaturated tones. Indirect & diffuse lighting emulate the atmospheric qualities of the other-worldly fog & evokes moments of tranquility & respite throughout the space. The idea of what a clinical space “should” look like is left in the past, and a once-dreaded experience now has the ability to serve as a space for healing, comfort, & pride.

intermountain p r i m a r y children’s hospital
The Primary Children’s Hospital renovation design & re-branding originated from an opportunity to refresh an existing ED/RTU space. What began as a series of various, minor scopes of work turned into being awarded the re-design and branding of the entirety of the clinical and public spaces throughout the over 450,000+ sq. ft. of
space. Due to the success of the design, Intermountain Healthcare Systems, the umbrella organization who owns & operates the children’s hospital, adopted the framework developed by the design team to be used as the new “Design and Branding Guidelines for Pediatric Facilities” for all new pediatric facilities nationwide.

BRANDING
riverside r e t r e a t The Riverside Retreat Beauty Institute located in Jarnac, France specializes in personalized holistic therapy and beauty treatments for a local clientele. The spa is located inside of a 100 year old French cottage, in an area engulfed with panoramic views of the rolling green hills of the French countryside, nearby cognac vineyards, and the River Charente. The client requested a contemporary, yet sophisticated re-brand of her salon which included both digital branding content & physical signage to be installed at the storefront & reception spaces. Inspired by this client’s proud British Heritage, a local fig tree, and the grandeur & sophistication found around every corner in a neighborhood frozen in 18th Century France, the resulting design aimed to tell a story of a modern day women-owned business looking to use traditional remedies and natural ingredients to create a more beautiful & empowered clientèle.
