The most important principle of good health: DO NO HARM Consuming the wrong kinds of fats & oils is downright destructive! Stay away from hydrogenated oil, “vegetable oil, Canola oil and all rancid & over-heated oils. In my opinion, use organic butter and organic coconut oil for cooking & organic olive or flax oil for cold dressings. This simple change will have a large impact on your health. Stan Hall, 89; One Of Last Of The Milford Macs Baseball Players MILFORD – Stanton S. Hall, 89, one of the last of the Milford Macs baseball team, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Fox Hospital in Oneonta. Stan was born April 5, 1923, in Milford, the son of Orson and Alta (Strong)
Hall. He was raised in Milford and attended Milford High School, where he played on several of the high school sports teams. During World War II, he joined the Army and served as a combat infantryman in 1943-45 in the Burma, India

years ago when he returned to live in Milford with Rob Adair and Karri May, part of his “extended family.” In Oneonta, he worked for Elmore Feed Co. for many years, then for 29 years in the SUNY Oneonta maintenance department. An extremely hard, dedicated and meticulous worker, he also loved to take walks, rabbit hunt, do crossword puzzles, play pinochle, golf (well into his 80s) and dance. Indeed, he and his constant companion and the “love of his life” Carrie Harris attended area dances
almost every Saturday night for nearly 50 years. He was also a rabid and faithful NY Yankees fan and rarely missed watching their games. She died in November 2009. Survivors include Rod Adair and Karri May, Carrie Harris’ family, and by two daughters, Deborah Harrington of Edmeston and Claudia Basile of Cooperstown Junction. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at the Milford Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Tillapaugh Funeral Service.
Doris Collier, 82; Bugbee, SUNY Oneonta Graduate ONEONTA – Doris Dunbar Collier, 82, who was raised in Oneonta and later lived for a period in Cooperstown, died June 12, 2012 with her family by her side. She most recently lived in Sidney Center. The daughter of Walter and Luella Dunbar, she attended Bugbee School, graduated from Drew Seminary for Young Ladies in 1947, and received a teaching degree from SUNY Oneonta in 1951. She married Edward “Ken” Collier that same June, and over their 56 years of marriage the couple lived and raised their family in Cadosia, Hancock, Cooperstown and Arnold Lake in New York State, and Wake Forest N.C., and Carlsbad, Calif. An extremely hard, dedicated and meticulous worker, he also loved to take walks, rabbit hunt, do crossword puzzles, play pinochle, golf (well into his 80s) and dance.
