CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE

& DIVERSITY

2023
I WAS ABLE TO CREATE A TREASURE TROVE OF MEMORIES AND LESSONS AT ALL SAINTS’ COLLEGE THAT WILL FOREVER BE ETCHED IN THE CORRIDORS OF MY MEMORY.

FROM

THE PRINCIPAL

Our theme at ASC in 2023 was Be More You – an encouragement for each student to invest time in, and practise the life skill of, getting to know who they are: their unique interests and strengths, curiosities and motivations, areas of challenge and so on.

And this publication reflects just that – the marvellous diversity as well as the many wonderful achievements of our student population and, particularly, our much-loved Class of 2023.

While this publication provides a snapshot of just some of our youngest alumni, we thank all members of our Class of 2023 for their very positive contribution to our College and its community in their final year, and across their years at ASC. Reflecting the diversity of our graduates, we celebrate that those contributions have been in the classroom, in the wide array of cocurricular activities, on the stage or sports field, in service and so on.

In acknowledging our graduating class, we also acknowledge all those staff who, along with our students’ families, have supported these young people, not only in their final year but throughout their years at ASC, noting here that 24 members of the Class of 2023 are ‘Collegians’ –

students who have attended All Saints’ College since Kindy or Pre-Primary. Our community of teachers, administrative staff, grounds staff, coaches and so on have been proud to work alongside our graduates over their years at the College, and we thank all staff for their dedicated support of, and care for, our young people.

As one of our Year 8s recently and astutely observed: ‘The Year 12s seem close, they seem really comfortable around each other – more like family than classmates.’ We hope our Class of 2023 ‘family’ will stay in close contact with one another, wherever life takes them, and we hope they will stay in touch with those of us back at their ‘second home’, All Saints’ College!

We at Ewing Avenue will certainly be following the journeys of our youngest Old Saints beyond our campus with great interest, wishing them well as they continue to apply their skills, talents, interests and abilities to serve their future communities well.

Go well and thank you, Class of 2023!

A DIVERSE EXPERIENCE

WE ARE PLEASED TO PROVIDE A SNAPSHOT OF ALL SAINTS’ COLLEGE STUDENTS’ DIVERSE EXPERIENCES, INTERESTS AND ASPIRATIONS.

ADEOLU ADEOYE

HAVING ATTENDED THE SAME SCHOOL FOR 13 YEARS, I WAS NOT JUST A STUDENT; I FELT AS THOUGH I WAS PART OF A FAMILY THAT HAD WITNESSED MY GROWTH, STRUGGLES AND TRIUMPHS.

Reflecting on my journey from the Kindergarten playground to the pinnacle of my high school journey, can’t help but feel a flood of emotions. Having attended the same school for 13 years, was not just a student; felt as though was part of a family that had witnessed my growth, struggles and triumphs.

Kindergarten memories of wide-eyed curiosity and the joyous chaos of finger painting. The hallways evolved into a labyrinth of friendships, lockers and classrooms, each echoing with laughter, tears and the hum of learning. The familiarity of the school became a comforting constant, a backdrop to the tapestry of my life.

As progressed through the years, challenges emerged. The simplicity of early lessons morphed into the complexities of advanced coursework. Friendships faced tests, but some became bonds that withstood the trials of adolescence. The teachers, once guiding hands, evolved into mentors shaping my academic and personal growth.

Graduating from the school that had been my second home marks the end of a chapter and I feel a mix of nostalgia and excitement for the unknown ahead. was able to create a treasure trove of memories and lessons at All Saints’ College that will forever be etched in the corridors of my memory.

ZOE DALLIMORE

have been a student at All Saints’ for 14 memorable years since starting in Kindergarten in 2010.

Over these years, the College became my second home, with the students and incredible staff like a second family. have always felt included and supported at the College, both academically and pastorally, and am forever grateful for the amazing opportunities provided to me.

In my final years of school, I chose an ATAR pathway, studying six subjects which loved and had a passion for. Due to the opportunity provided by the College, was able to complete Politics and Law as well as Italian a year early, having commenced them in Year 10. This enabled me focus on my four remaining subjects in my final year, alleviating stress and allowing me to immerse myself in the Year 12 experience.

This final year was one wouldn’t have been able to get through without the constant support and help from my many dedicated and passionate teachers. The countless hours they spent answering questions and reviewing concepts not only ensured performed to the best of my ability but helped prepare me for the real world.

I HAVE ALWAYS FELT INCLUDED AND SUPPORTED AT THE COLLEGE, BOTH ACADEMICALLY AND PASTORALLY, AND AM FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR THE AMAZING OPPORTUNITIES PROVIDED TO ME.

ALL SAINTS’ FEELS MORE LIKE A COMMUNITY THAN A SCHOOL.

moved to the College in 2021 to start Year 10 and ever since then have enjoyed every moment at ASC.

One of the main aspects I have enjoyed about the College is the connection between the teachers and students. There is a bond between them that helps the students learn and feel more comfortable in the classroom. All Saints’ feels more like a community than a school.

In my final years at the College, chose the VET pathway and completed three certificates. Two of these were on campus and were a Certificate II in Hospitality and a Certificate II in Workplace Skills.

My third certificate was a Certificate III in Aviation Cabin Crew at South Metropolitan TAFE. studied this for two days each week for the entirety of Year 12 and gained many hands-on skills as well as multiple certificates including First Aid and Firefighting. It was a wonderful experience for me as have learnt some valuable life lessons and made lifelong friends.

After ASC, plan to travel around the world and take on my passion of Flight Attending. also plan to stay in touch with the College community and my past teachers as it is a bond that don’t want to lose, and so many of them have helped shape me into who am today.

ELEANOR HAWKING

moved to All Saints’ College at the beginning of Year 11 in 2022, a large, daunting change from the smaller country school where completed my first 10 years of schooling. was immediately impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere present within the College, where both staff and students went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and confident to thrive academically and personally.

ASC has an exceptional sense of community, where all members are embraced and empowered as their genuine, unique selves. My experience at the College was enriched by the plethora of cocurricular activities available, including the Dance Concert, Interschool Swimming Carnival, House Choir, and extravaganzas like Pasar Malam.

am grateful for the opportunity to have served as Academic Captain during 2023, a role through which was able to help other students feel supported and capable of achieving their personal academic best. completed an ATAR pathway during my two years at ASC. This study, and the support received, has made me feel well prepared to pursue further study and (hopefully!) a career in health care, where I can pass on some of the values have experienced at school.

forged invaluable connections with both students and staff whom will miss but be sure to remain in contact with as enter life beyond Ewing Avenue.

ASC HAS AN EXCEPTIONAL SENSE OF COMMUNITY, WHERE ALL MEMBERS ARE EMBRACED AND EMPOWERED AS THEIR GENUINE, UNIQUE SELVES.

I AM IMMENSELY GRATEFUL TO THE COLLEGE, AND I PLAN TO STAY CONNECTED WITH THE ASC COMMUNITY. IT'S A SPACE I NEVER WANT TO LET GO OF.

I've been part of the College since 2017 and I've cherished every moment of it. Engaging in various cocurricular clubs, my favourite being the Basketball Club, has allowed me to meet new people and indulge in activities enjoy.

The College facilitated my enrolment in a TAFE course following the VET pathway, and provided excellent support throughout my journey. I've successfully completed Certificates III and IV. Additionally, the College offers on-campus certificates as subjects, and earned a Certificate II in this manner.

The College is an incredibly welcoming place with a positive and safe environment. The staff have played a crucial role in shaping me, not only academically but also as a person. They offer guidance on life lessons, and I've learnt valuable things beyond the scope of traditional schooling. am immensely grateful to the College, and plan to stay connected with the ASC community. It's a space I never want to let go of.

The past few years at the College are like a blur and it’s only now, as I reflect back, realise how much will miss this place. The teachers here are truly special, and know will miss many of them, so urge you to remind yourself to bring yourself back to the moment to enjoy and cherish the last few years of school.

My experience of the College will definitely stay with me forever. It has been the foundation of the person I have become.

IT HAS BEEN THE FOUNDATION OF THE PERSON I HAVE BECOME.

I HAVE MADE THE MOST MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS, LEARNING SO MUCH ABOUT MYSELF AND THE IMPORTANCE OF A STRONG SUPPORT NETWORK THROUGH MY TIME HERE.

joined All Saints’ College in Year 5 and never imagined how quickly would find home within the people here. I have made the most meaningful relationships, learning so much about myself and the importance of a strong support network through my time here.

My service-oriented mindset has been fostered by the numerous Service opportunities provided by ASC which highlight the importance of giving back. These opportunities also allow students to observe the positive impact they can have in the lives of many, such as being able to watch the faces of RAAFA residents light up when interacting with them. hope to stay connected to this community beyond my graduation and maintain these key lifelong connections.

From 2024, I plan to undertake the steps to become a child and adolescent psychologist and can see that my passion was inspired by the positive relationships I have witnessed through the College. dream to become a similar pillar in other students’ lives through my work, as have felt and seen in the teachers and staff here.

THIS COMMUNITY HAS ALLOWED ME TO DO THINGS I WOULD HAVE NEVER DREAMED OF AND I’M GRATEFUL TO BE A PART OF IT.

I’ve been at All Saints’ College since 2018, joining in Year 7, and I can confidently say these have been some of the best years of my life. Going to All Saints’ has provided me with the opportunity to create meaningful, lifelong connections with so many different people which is one of the most special things about this College.

The subjects chose were English, French, Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Specialist, Chemistry and Physics and, even though the year had its ups and downs, always knew that had the ASC community in my corner, ready to help me when needed it. The teachers at the College have been amazing, providing me the support needed and making the classroom a productive learning environment.

It wasn’t easy balancing my academics, my role as a Catalyst Captain and my personal life, but was incredibly lucky to have the support of my family and friends to help me along the way. This community has allowed me to do things would have never dreamed of and I’m grateful to be a part of it.

Looking ahead, hope to study a Bachelor of Biomedicine and get an assured entry into Doctor of Medicine.

ASC HAS BEEN MORE THAN A SCHOOL— IT'S BEEN A PLACE WHERE I'VE LEARNED, GROWN AND FOUND MY PASSIONS.

My journey at All Saints’ College began in 2018 in Year 5, and it's been quite a ride since then! ASC has been more than a school—it's been a place where I've learned, grown and found my passions. Over the years have been offered countless opportunities from the chance to perform Celtic music in front of hundreds of people to facing other schools in British Parliamentary Debating.

In my final years, jumped into the ATAR pathway with a mix of subjects that made me love going to class every day. Along the journey, the College helped me to excel in the subjects that I was best at, even allowing me to take ATAR Economics a year in advance. If at any time struggled, there were always teachers and study sessions available for me to join, to help me through the final years of school.

As I look beyond ASC, what I'll treasure the most is the community here. The teachers and staff have been so supportive, always there to guide me and push me to be my best. The friendships and bonds have created along the way have been invaluable in shaping the person am. am not set on what my future may hold just yet but am planning to study Engineering and Commerce at university as a start.

I HAVE MADE FRIENDSHIPS THAT WILL EXTEND FAR BEYOND MY TIME AT THE COLLEGE, AND I AM UNBELIEVABLY GRATEFUL FOR THIS.

My schooling experience since starting at All Saints’ College in 2010 has been nothing short of incredible. have been able to get involved in not only academics but also in other diverse aspects of life at the College. Whether it was the Arts, sports or even leadership, I had the support to do it all. It is this support and care that will miss most about the ASC community. Despite having initial doubts about my ATAR pathway, there has been absolutely nothing I would change about my Senior School experience. My teachers have encouraged and inspired me to perform to the best of my abilities. have loved each and every one of my classes, not only for the learning opportunities they have provided me, but also for the connections I have made along the way. have made friendships that will extend far beyond my time at the College, and am unbelievably grateful for this. don’t know what university will have in store for me but what do know is that the College has provided me with the skills and confidence to tackle any challenges thrown my way.

OLIVER MCNAMEE

arrived at All Saints’ College in Year 7 and the friendly and supportive nature of the community allowed me to really enjoy my time at the College.

In my first years I leapt into any sporting opportunity could, taking full advantage of the vast sporting program at the College, and I especially enjoyed the weekly Interhouse sport competition. As the years went on, delved into the strong basketball culture at ASC, where made some of my fondest memories and closest friends, playing at lunch, recess, before school or playing in the numerous carnivals, leagues and tournaments available.

elected to do six ATAR subjects in my final two years at the College: English, Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Specialist, Physics, PE Studies and Economics. These years saw me develop my work ethic and consistency and helped forge and strengthen relationships had with others. The friendly support of teachers both inside and outside the classroom helped me find enjoyment and satisfaction in the often testing final years of school.

Beyond ASC, am hoping to accept a scholarship for Engineering at Curtin University.

THE FRIENDLY SUPPORT OF TEACHERS BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM HELPED ME FIND ENJOYMENT AND SATISFACTION IN THE OFTEN TESTING FINAL YEARS OF SCHOOL.

JASON SHAN

I HAVE TRIED TO MAKE THE MOST OF MY TIME HERE, CREATING MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS, TRYING OUT NEW THINGS AND TRYING TO UNDERSTAND MYSELF BETTER.

My entire high school career was at All Saints’ College, from 2018 all the way to 2023. Ever since starting at the College in Year 7, have tried to make the most of my time here, creating meaningful connections, trying out new things and trying to understand myself better.

The community and environment here have truly enabled me to discover more about myself, whether that be new hobbies, interests, boundaries or even just the fact that hate sleeping in a tent! I’m extremely grateful to have made several lifelong friendships in my six years at All Saints’, not only within my own cohort, but above and below my year group, and these are relationships will cherish.

had the opportunity to accelerate a year in Mathematics (something was extremely grateful for in my final year) which meant I began ATAR in Year 10, and it allowed me to study five subjects in Year 12 without sacrificing any units or my safety net of subjects.

Now having finished my time at the College, am looking forward to taking all these skills and experiences have gained into university and tertiary education, and believe I’ll be all the better for it.

EVA TEXLER HAYDEN WATKINSON

started my journey at All Saints’ in 2015 when was in Year 4 and the sense of community at All Saints’ has always been something have enjoyed about the College. There are so many incredible people that work at ASC, as well as the amazing students I’ve had the pleasure to form friendships with.

The friendships formed through rowing, drama productions, band performances and other music opportunities are ones that will stay strong for years to come. The many incredible teachers and students that make up the All Saints’ community is what made my journey so enjoyable and special.

studied, in total, six ATAR subjects in my final years at the College. That consisted of Japanese (advanced placement), Drama, English, Mathematics Applications, Human Biology and Chemistry. Now you may be wondering how enjoyed all these subjects and it is simple: was interested in all these topics. studied hard and made sure I had constant feedback from peers and staff alike.

Beyond ASC am planning to do a Diploma in Special Makeup Services which involves stage and screen makeup and prosthetics. I’ve always wanted to work within the theatrical arts whether it be acting or costume and makeup. I’ve always wanted to make things that help others understand the world and feelings around them, and by creating theatre, believe can achieve that goal.

think what makes ASC so special is the variety of types of pathways offered. When was younger, thought the only way to graduate was by getting an ATAR. However, realised there were so many different pathways to university. Accessing those courses and so much information about different entry pathways and the array of forms of study beyond school was so helpful. It allowed me to have a stronger sense of my future endeavours beyond school.

THE MANY INCREDIBLE TEACHERS AND STUDENTS THAT MAKE UP THE ALL SAINTS’ COMMUNITY IS WHAT MADE MY JOURNEY SO ENJOYABLE AND SPECIAL.
ALL SAINTS’ PROVIDED LOTS OF SPORTING EXPERIENCES AND MY EXPERIENCES IN THE CLASSROOM HAVE ALSO BEEN AWESOME AND I HAVE MADE GREAT FRIENDS ALONG THE WAY.

joined All Saints’ College in Year 6 and have enjoyed all the opportunities was given.

All Saints’ provided lots of sporting experiences and my experiences in the classroom have also been awesome and I have made great friends along the way.

In my final two years at school, chose to do a VET pathway and completed a School-Based Traineeship with the Department of Justice. This meant attended school three days a week and worked with the Department on the other two days. loved this choice and do not regret anything. learnt lots outside school and still enjoyed my time at school with friends, while also gaining my WACE certificate. achieved a Certificate II in Government, a Certificate II in Workplace Skills and a Certificate III in Business.

formed great relationships with the teachers throughout my General studies. formed great relationships with all of them and they always made sure was caught up with the lessons missed due to being off campus.

Since graduating, I have secured full-time work with the Media Liaison Unit at the Department of Justice. was offered this job once finished my traineeship with them.

will definitely stay in touch with the ASC community as it always offers different opportunities to get involved.

JADE WHEELER

MY TIME AT ALL SAINTS’ COLLEGE HAS BEEN A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE, WITH MEMORIES AND RELATIONSHIPS I WILL CARRY INTO THE FUTURE.

Since starting at All Saints’ College in Pre-Primary, have wanted to pursue a pathway in the Arts, specifically Dance. All Saints’ allowed me to grow and engage my passions through the outstanding Arts staff and my fellow Arts cohort.

Throughout my time at All Saints’, the College has been flexible in letting me juggle my dance training and schoolwork. I have enjoyed participating in choirs, dance concerts and productions, finishing my time at the College as the 2023 Arts Captain.

In 2024, I will move to Sydney to further my studies at Alegria Dance Co, a full-time dance school, and then audition for a company in Europe.

will definitely keep in contact with the ASC community as a support system as pursue my future, and hope to return to visit my teachers who have inspired me to follow my passions.

Overall, my time at All Saints’ College has been a positive experience, with memories and relationships will carry into the future.

OLIVER WRIGHT I WILL FOREVER CHERISH THE ROLE THAT ALL SAINTS’ COLLEGE HAS PLAYED IN SHAPING WHO I AM TODAY.

At All Saints’, you can be anything.

For me, that meant a lot of things. It meant loving Maths, Science and French, but it also meant playing basketball, soccer and volleyball. What made my journey special is that never had to choose one thing or one category. For many years, learnt the violin at the College but never felt restricted to being just a musician, or just a student. I could always explore my own passions and not feel judged for it.

One unique aspect of the College is its provision for students to accelerate in certain courses, enabling them to complete a subject a year ahead of schedule. did this for Mathematics from Year 8. Having taken my Mathematics Methods WACE exam in Year 11, I was able to reduce my subjects to five in Year 12. highly recommend this approach to anyone who can pursue it, as it results in a more balanced final year at the College.

Year 12 offered numerous chances to form close bonds with peers and staff. Building relationships with friends of six years and sharing "lasts" made it truly special. Furthermore, Year 12 marked the culmination of strong connections with teachers who had witnessed our growth from immature Year 7s to the most senior students. The camaraderie in Year 12 classes, with teachers and students sharing laughter and knowledge, was unforgettable.

As step forward into my exciting journey through university and beyond, I will forever cherish the role that All Saints’ College has played in shaping who I am today. Even as complete my final year, hope to maintain my connection with the College, embracing the status of an Old Saint and participating in community events.
