This course is designed for any cleaning technician, particularly those in charge of troubleshooting and warranty/insurance work. The course is complemented by a two-hour hands-on spotting session where the student actually practices what he/she has learned. This class is valuable for professional cleaners and in-house maintenance personnel to help understand the most advanced spot and stain removal procedures. Bring working clothes or overalls with you as you will be using spotting products.

Designed for professional cleaners of all levels. You will be shown how to identify the difference between wet-clean and dry-clean only fabrics with confidence. This is a two-day Complete Carpet Care school. The object of this school is to help educate by increasing your knowledge and understanding of both carpets and the carpet cleaning industry as a whole. It is mostly a theory school where you will be introduced to a number of different types of carpet and fibres and their different methods of construction. This course is a must for anyone involved in residential or commercial carpet care and maintenance. It will give you the confidence to tackle all types of carpet cleaning jobs and deal with almost any problem that may arise.

A two-day upholstery and fabric care school is a complete learning experience teaching all aspects of upholstery and fabric cleaning. It will give you the confidence to tackle most upholstery cleaning jobs by helping you identify fibres and fabric characteristics, chemical and equipment requirements and specific cleaning procedures using all types of systems and methods. It helps you avoid problems and teaches you when to walk away. Special attention is given to safe dry cleaning procedures. Consideration is given to using existing equipment to clean upholstery.

Specialty & Area Rug Cleaning There are two statements that carpet cleaners often say when discussing rugs… 1. The belief there is little or no demand for professional rug cleaning in the UK … As no one will pay more than £30-£50 to clean a rug. 2. The ‘rug snobs’ that claim you need years of experience and lots of schools to learn how to identify where the rug comes from AND have your own rug plant before you can start cleaning. Both of these are WRONG! Firstly there is a massive demand for professional Oriental & Specialty Rug cleaning in the UK. If you don’t agree go and spend some time on the internet and look at Specialty Rug stores and find out how many there are and how much the rugs are being sold for. And we don’t mean the basic man-made rugs from stores like Next. Look at the real Oriental & Specialty Rug suppliers and you see prices from a few thousands up to tens of thousands of pounds. A ‘wall-to-wall’ carpet is a practical item, which people can spend some time choosing …

however at the level we are discussing a rug is real investment and a lot of thought goes in to the design and colour of the item to become the centrepiece of their home. While people will find a local cleaner to clean their wall-to-wall carpet, they look for a ‘specialist’ for the rug and will often go back to the store to have them cleaned. To give you an example, it’s like you take your road car to the local garage or franchise dealer, but would you trust the teenagers out the back with their ‘diagnostic computers’ to work on your classic sports car …? Ok, so a rug is not a sports car, but if you spent £2,500 plus on a rug you wouldn’t want to trust a local cleaner to run his wand over it in the lounge for £30! We have a lot of carpet cleaners out there turning to rug cleaning as a great way to bring in additional income.

Rug cleaning is without doubt the most profitable niche in the ‘carpet cleaning’ industry as you could easily be charging £100£600 to clean and treat rugs. It doesn’t take much to work out … if you collect 5 or 6 rugs a week, (it’s great when you can collect on the audit and deliver back a week or so later when you do the carpet cleaning job) spend one afternoon or evening a week cleaning them and you’ll be making between £500 and £3000 extra in a few hours!! On our schools you’ll learn how to clean rugs with hot water extraction, and full-immersion cleaning (like plant cleaning) and how to sell the service. Our Instructor Paul Pearce is currently the NCCA President and once owned the largest rug plant in the south of England, and was cleaning 400-500 rugs per week.
