The Money Devotional - 40 Bible Reflections on Money, Wealth, and Possessions By Ade Adewolu and Mark Lloydbottom http://ezinearticles.com/?The-Money-Devotional---40-Bible-Reflections-on-Money,Wealth,-and-Possessions&id=4519465 THE MONEY DEVOTIONAL is a bold statement in a hypocritical world. It is an indisputable fact that everyone needs money - lots of it. Unfortunately, most people feel it is synonymous to guilt or sin to discuss it openly. Another school of thought considers it as an issue that is rather ignored than openly confront or find a solution to. In its present form, this book provides a clear direction for anyone desiring to have a testimonial in walking a successful Christian lifestyle. It shows how anybody can live a successful life as a counselor, an entrepreneur, and as a man of Faith (in Christ). The book was painstakingly laid out in content for both the ardent reader, the regular student of the subject, as well as for anyone seeking clarification on a specific issue within the 40-part study. The book title is unpretentious and straight to the point. It is sincere and appropriate, conveying its message clearly to the intended audience. The (40-day) Money Devotional is a beautifully presented and logically coherent working document - a guide that can enrich the reader's mind (and pocket!) irrespective of their religious leaning. The book's layout makes it easy to identify specific issue for study or intellectual curiosity. It painstakingly covers every aspect of money, drawing from biblical references and statements from world-renown scholars, philosophers, and academics. Although I have my personal reservation towards keeping a pot of regular savings account for a long time, I would rather leverage my income creating multiple sets of income. In spite of my reservations, the idea of planning towards a rainy-day as discussed in 'The Money Devotional' from 'Day 17' to 'Day 20' is worthy of consideration. A deeper view of The Money Devotional is necessary at this point to highlight the main features: Being divided into 40 small chapters help create independent study modules that can be 'digested' one at a time; 路 Though divided into 40 parts, the entire book still maintains a high level of coherence and continuous flow of thought; 路 Every chapter is given a unique title - and is subdivided into a number of sub chapters. There is a prayer at the end of every day's study.
Other vital issues discussed include: · What is our attitude toward our treasures? - Day 06 · Giving materialism a wide berth - Day 07 · Becoming Debt Free (Parts I & II) - Day 19 & Day 20 · Marriage and Money - Day 23 · Training Our Children (Parts I & II) - Day 24 & Day 25 On the whole, the book lives true to its calling: The Money Devotional. It offers an 'easy-to-read' spiritual insight into understanding how to walk in ways that are pleasing to God. It can help 'cleanse' the mind and create avenues to enjoy the abundance of Godly riches and prosperity. Although the book is tiled: The Money Devotional, but like every thorough and authentic Christian literature, it addresses every aspect if the life of a believer. A glossary of Christian moral values and the Biblical sources for further study can be found at the end of the book. The Money Devotional is not just another book on prosperity and riches. It is a resource guide that when diligently studied, can easily inspire the reader to great and unprecedented heights of achievements in life. It is a highly recommended document for every person and every home.
