Academy for Collegiate Officers 2025

Academy for Collegiate Officers will be held in Covington, Georgia, January 31-February 2, 2025, at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center. You heard that right – we’re headed to Camp Alpha Gam for a weekend of leadership development, strategic planning and sisterhood! The Chapter President and Vice President-New Member Experience’s attendance are required to meet the minimum expectations of Good Standing, and there are limited spots for chapters to send up to four officers. Registration will open Monday, November 25 and close Wednesday, January 8. Academy for Collegiate Officers is generously funded by the Alpha Gam Foundation.

Alumnae nominated for the Talent of Leadership Award have made significant contributions to their professions or have made a positive impact in their local communities. Recipients are recognized locally at International Reunion Day celebrations and receive a commendation from the International Fraternity.

Nominations can be made by an alumnae chapter/club, a collegiate chapter or an individual member of the Fraternity. Nominations for 2025 are live and due by 11:59 p.m. ET on December 1, 2024. Access the nomination form here.

Volunteer Service Team Applications

Volunteer Service Team members generously serve the Fraternity in various capacities. They are appointed by International Council and serve a two-year term. Applications for the 2025-27 biennium will be available on myAlphaGam. Log in and select “Volunteer Opportunities” from the dashboard. The chair application will open in mid-December and close in early February 2025. The committee member applications will open in early February and close in early March.

Introducing Grad Journeys

Did you know that Alpha Gam offers educational programming for seniors and alumnae through the Engage path of the Epsilon Pi Journey?

The Engage path is dedicated to enriching the senior and alumnae experience, providing resources for lifelong development. We’re thrilled to introduce Grad Journeys, a new program within the Engage path designed specifically for seniors and recent graduates!

Grad Journeys are virtual life-skills sessions led by alumnae experts, covering topics like graduate school and career preparation, personal finance, and healthy well-being. This program is designed to support a smooth transition into alumna life while preparing members for future careers and opportunities! Seniors and Alpha Gam grads can log into Acorn to explore the Engage program, access recordings from past sessions, and register for upcoming Grad Journeys events. Learn more here.

Celebrating Success at the 101st FCA Awards!

The 101st Fraternity Communications Association Awards were held during the FCA Annual Conference in Memphis in May 2024. We’re proud to announce that the Communications and Marketing Team from IHQ received two prestigious awards.

Chief Marketing Officer, Wendy Theus Barker was honored with the Marilyn Simpson Ford Distinguished Service Award, recognizing her exceptional dedication to advancing the Association’s Vision and Purpose. Additionally, our team secured second place in the Writing - Long Feature category.
