Chef Recommends: Balesin Vannamei Shrimp Dishes

By: Chef Valerie Nombre, The City Club Food & Beverage Director; Ronnie Moranas, The City Club Assistant Manager for Marketing, Sales, and Events Savor fresh and delicious Balesin vannamei shrimp right here in in the city at The City Club! Introduced to our menus in 2019, Balesin vannamei shrimp is cultivated and grown in specially maintained ponds on Balesin Island to ensure that they grow to full size and weight before being served to members and guests.

The vannamei species originated in Vietnam, and given the ideal conditions of the Balesin ponds along with meticulous cultivation, Balesin vannamei shrimp offers an unmatched clean, sweet flavor. Since it is directly harvested from the island’s ponds and flown daily to Manila and to The City Club, members and guests can also enjoy the popular Balesin vannamei shrimp dishes served at our specialty restaurants in The City Club.
