ROLE OF THE MENTAL HEALTH PSYCHOLOGISTS A mental health psychologist is a practitioner who helps people who are experiencing psychological distress. He cures them by using a variety ofpsychotherapy approaches and techniques. Studies show that over half of all adults will have at least one mental disorder during their lifetime.

Providing clients with psychotherapy Speaking with clients about their feelings, emotions, and ideas Organizing family sessions in groups Setting goals with clients, developing a treatment strategy, and gaining insight via treatment Working with clients to identify conditions, habits, and ideas that are impeding their recovery and wellness.
