ABOUT US Alpina was founded in 1947 as the joint venture of many small shoemakers active in the region since the 19th century. Today we are the leading producer of cross-country ski boots in the world. The company has three production plants for fashion footwear in Slovenia and Bosnia. With more than 100 footwear shops, Alpina is a major footwear retailer in southeast Europe. Alpina features a wide range of women’s footwear styles, available in a variety of widths, all with an emphasis on style, softness and good grip – and all produced in Europe. Most footwear is made from natural materials, some in combination with a membrane.
