About
ALSA ALSA was firstly named ASEAN Law Students’ Association (“ALSA”), established in May 18th 1989 by a group of law students from ASEAN countries, inter alia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. The agreement to establish ALSA was agreed upon in Jakarta, during the 1989 ALSA Conference. The main notion to establish this prestigious organization was to be prepared dealing with globalisation, it arises the needs to share legal knowledge amongst ASEAN countries as it is considerably needed to comprehend different legal systems. In 2003, ALSA expanded its coverage into Asian countries and named the organization into Asian Law Students’ Association. ALSA is known as a non-governmental and non-political organization that comprises of 17 National Chapters in Asia

About ALSA
International Event ALSA International has its own international event that falls under their responsibilities, such as:
ALSA Forum (AF) It is an annual event held by ALSA International which is hosted by different National Chapter each year. The participation revolves around various countries amongst the member of ALSA in order to engage for an academic and non-academic activities, such as, General Assembly, legal discussion, sharing information in regards to cultural, social, and economic coverage, cultural night performance whereas every country will unveil the beauty of its culture. ALSA Conference (AC) AC comprises of academic and non-academic activities, it is held annually by different National Chapter. It concentrates to analyse and share the ongoing legal issue amongst countries in Asia, it can be done in a form of table discussion and/or Model United Nations. Not to mention the networking and interpersonal skills that will be experienced and attained by the delegates. ALSA International Moot Court Competition (AIMCC) It is an International Moot Court Competition that focuses on the International Investment Dispute Resolution, in a form of arbitration. It seeks to enable law students to deepen their understanding of law and practice their legal skills, research and advocacy.

About ALSA
ALSA International Legal Training and Workshop (AILTW) This event aims to enhance the practical and technical skills of ALSA members, it is held annually by different National Chapters. This event also in purpose to enrich the participants with an indepth knowledge regarding certain legal topic and to develop their legal practical skills that will be useful in the near future. ALSA International Mediation Competition (AIMC) It is an International Mediation Competition aims to enable law students to deepen their understanding and practice their legal skills, specifically in the coverage of mediation as one of the dispute resolutions. The John Jackson Moot Court Competition (JHJMCC) It is an international competition on the Law of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) organised by the European Law Students’ Association (“ELSA”) with the technical support of the WTO itself. The competition takes on the form of a simulated hearing of the WTO dispute settlement system.

ALSA Indonesia is one of the founding fathers of ALSA International, which is significantly having a big role since the first establishment of ALSA International up to the current condition. ALSA Indonesia has been actively contributing their virtue to its members, society, and international communities amongst Asian. It is proven by our work programs, commitment towards certain legal and social issues, and participation in International Events. The representative of ALSA National Chapter Indonesia, wellknown as the National Board as the ones who manage this leading organization. ALSA Indonesia legality is enshrined under the Formal Letter issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture Number 020/B1/SK/2016. ALSA Indonesia consists of fourteen members of Local Chapters from esteemed Universities throughout Indonesia.

Signature Programs Legal Charity A legal aid activity that is expected for ALSA Indonesia to be able to bridge the legal needs of underprivileged people with related institutions through concrete assistance, such as legal consultation legal settlement.
ALSA Indonesia Specialized Research Team It is a socio-legal research program implemented to define the legal gaps in the normative rules with the facts that occur in the field. Research in this activity is carried out by seeking empirical data on researchbased institutions that are relevant to the object of research study. The results of the AISRT activities are the Research Paper which will then be provided to the Government through hearings and to the wider community through ALSA Indonesia's media partners and social media. AISRT will produce approximately 6 (six) legal studies in one period.
ALSA Indonesia Charity Day It provides assistance to a third party, which needs consistent and continuous support for one period as fostered by ALSA Indonesia. Hence, that relevant third parties can receive concrete and useful assistance.
ALSA Care and Legal Coaching Clinic
ALSA Indonesia Law Journal An academic product in the form of journals reviewed by ALSA Indonesia members who are accompanied by Mitra Bestari in the form of scientific journals on legal issues that are happening. AILJ will produce 2 (two) legal journals in one management period.
ALSA Indonesia Legal Opinion Each Local Chapter contributes to this activity by providing a Legal Opinion on a regular basis. The program is expected to be able to train the writing skills of ALSA Indonesia members in presenting their views and opinions as law students regarding a legal issue. AILO will produce 3 (three) products which contain a total of 28 (twenty eight) legal opinions in one period.
ALSA Indonesia Legal Review Competition A national level competition to accommodate the ability to write in writing arguments and legal analysis as an important ability for law students. The activity is open to all law students in Indonesia.
ALSA Indonesia Legal Discussion A legal discussion forum conducted through online media. Through AILD, participants will get exposure from academics or legal practitioners by criticizing policies and ongoing legal issues in Indonesia.
It is organized and conducted by 14 Local Chapters. There are socialization or action campaigns as a reflection of socially responsible, and legal counseling, seminars, workshops as a reflection of legally skilled.

ALSA Indonesia Legal Training and Workshop It provides legal knowledge and training to law students throughout Indonesia that are not limited to ALSA members. AILTW activities are divided into two sessions namely seminars and workshops.
Poster Design Competition A design competition on social issues opened to law students throughout Indonesia as a means to increase social awareness and explore creative ideas.
ALSA Short Movies Competition A forum for members from all Local Chapters to provide legal information in the form of videos. The legal theme will be further determined to be the basis of making short movies by participants who are members of the Local Chapter

ALSA Indonesia Reunion A means for alumni to meet, gather, and share their experiences to the members of ALSA Indonesia.
ALSA Indonesia National Training This event focuses in edifying fundamental values of ALSA towards members. It involves several alumni of ALSA Indonesia to share their knowledge and experience in purpose to enhance members' soft skills and hard skills. Further, it is also a platform for members to know members from other Local Chapters.
Golden Ticket National Event A form of appreciation for members who are qualified in academics or achievers, by bearing their registration fee for the national event.
Golden Ticket International Event ALSA Indonesia Career Talk Show It is a talk show to accommodate the members to broaden their insights into various career fields to prepare themselves in the working world.
