F a c i n g Facing diversity need practice, where we can't let our emotion dictate us. Different people comes with different point of views. Sometimes things can be common for one, but can be problem for others. So, here are the things you can try on facing diversity.
A.THE FIRST METHOD IS HOW TO BE TOLERANT WITH OTHERS : 1. Ask for an explanation
If you are talking to someone and they say something that you find hard to accept, you can figure out the other person's perspective without being intolerant or aggressive. Try to gain a better understanding of someone else's views by asking him or her to explain it to you.
2. Use “I” statements rather than “you” statements
If you find yourself in a conversation with someone and you are struggling to maintain civility, it can help to avoid making accusations or assumptions about the person you are talking to. You can do this by using “I” statements instead of “you” statements. This can help to de-escalate any personal animosity and may help you be more open to each other's viewpoints.
3. Address a conflict
If you are struggling to empathize or ignore the situation, and you are finding it hard to tolerate, you can try to address it to reach some kind of resolutions. If you are good friend with someone and you don't want this intolerance to de-rail your friendship, it's worth making the effort to find a solution together. Everyone involved will need to be prepared to make an effort and participate fully.
6

B. SECOND, ON DEALING WITH DIVERSITY IS OF COURSE DEVELOPING MORE TOLERANT OUTLOOK 1.Value difference.
An important part of developing a more tolerant outlook is learning to appreciate and value difference. People who value difference and diversity are generally more tolerant of others, and are less stressed by ambiguity and uncertainty.
2. Accept uncertainty.
Research conducted on a national level has shown that countries whose people are more accepting of uncertainty tend to be more accepting of dissent, tolerant of deviance, less risk averse and more positive towards young people.
3. Learn about other people and cultures.
A good way to become a more tolerant person is to educate yourself more deeply about other people and cultures. Take the time to learn about different cultures and belief systems. Don't be afraid to ask questions, but always do this in a respectful and polite way.
4. Analyze your intolerant feelings.
Understanding the context and roots of your intolerant feelings may help you to recognize and challenge them. Think about why you've been judgmental toward others in the past. Were you raised to believe that certain people are inferior to you, or have you had negative experiences? Diagnose why you feel a certain way about a certain group of people.
5. Foster your own self-esteem.
Sometimes people who don't feel happy in themselves or have low or negative self-esteem are those most likely to be intolerant of others. If you feel more secure and confident in yourself you may find you are more open-minded and tolerant of other people.
6. Think a difficult thought.
This is a technique that psychologists use, and it can be a useful way to address intolerance. It works on the principle that it's hard to maintain a difficult thought, and that trying to do this will help you learn to handle difficult situations.

Tragedy
of
Diversity has become the fundamental foundation of being human. Where we come from become one of the factor of our own culture, ethnic, religion, ect. This diversity affects different thing on how our behavior in society, or creating our perspective of thingking. One of a case happend with rohingnya, an ethnic in Rakhine, Myanmar. Where because of differentiation of race the Rohingnya is not being acknowledged until today by the Myanmar's government. The Rohingya are a Muslim minority population living mainly in the state of Arakan, in Myanmar (Burma). Although approximately 800,000 Rohingya live in Myanmar, and apparently their ancestors were in the country for centuries, the Burmese government does not recognize Rohingya people as citizens. People without a state, the Rohingya face harsh persecution in Myanmar, and in refugee camps in neighboring Bangladesh and Thailand as well. There still many debate on where the origin place of Rohingya really is, the Myanmar's government claim that Rohingya is an illegal imigrant from Bangladesh, it has proven by diferentitation of their language, culture, religion ect. On the other hand, research done by Skotish, Francis Buchanan giving a conclusion that Rohingya is indigenous of Arakan (Now Rakhine). This article today will portray on how the tragedy that have been passed by Rohingnya people. The Rohingya discrimination came with the act of the Myanmar's government on not acknowledge Rohingya as it own citizen, but see them as ilegal imigrant. This lead to more serious problem that is the difficult of access of education, health, and also proper job. Proven by Fortify Rights, an International human right organization, in February 2014, release of the 79-page report, Policies of Persecution: Ending Abusive State Policies Against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, based primarily on the analysis of 12 leaked official documents dated 1993, 2005, 2008 and a review of public records, as well as interviews with Rohingya and others in Myanmar and Thailand. The documents published in the report reveal restrictions that deny Rohingya basic human rights, including the rights to nondiscrimination, freedom of movement, marriage, family, health, and privacy. All of the restrictions and enforcement methods described in the report appear to be in effect at the time of writing.

NM/MAR-17/VII/PALETTE
MAIN ARTICLE
“Regional Order 1/2005,” obtained by Fortify Rights, lays the foundation for a two-child policy enforced in Maungdaw and Buthidaung townships, requiring Rohingya “who have permission to marry” to “ limit the number of children, in order to control the birth rate so that there is enough food and shelter.” This order—which in practice translates to a strict two-child policy— also prohibits Rohingya from having children out of wedlock. As we know, birth restrictions violate the human rights of Rohingya couples to marry, found a family, and determine for themselves the number and spacing of their children. Fears of penalties for unsanctioned pregnancies have caused Rohingya to flee the country or undergo illegal and unsafe abortions, often leading to untreated health consequences and even death. Other policies curtail Rohingya freedom of movement. Rohingya in Rakhine State are barred from travelling within or between townships without authorization, and they are only permitted to travel outside the state in rare circumstances with additional, difficult-to-obtain authorizations. Restrictions on movement severely inhibit livelihoods and access to healthcare, even in medical emergencies, impinging upon their right to health. Government policies described in this report explicitly provide criminal punishments for Rohingya who violate the restrictions, with penalties including up to several years in prison, fines, or both. The policies appear to be designed to make life so intolerable for Rohingya that they will leave the country, and indeed many have. Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, and elsewhere over the last two decades, in many cases risking death at sea and abuses by human traffickers, including killings and ill treatment.
In conclusion, discrimination is the embodiment of non tolerance towards diversity. Whatever the reason are, we can't treat people diferent. What we can learn is that, discriminaton is a serious problem, if we let this happened, it can even create a major problem that people can lose it's freedom in the end, proven by the Rohingya in Myanmar. Also with this, we call for your prayer toward the Rohingya, we hope that they can earn their right they deserve.

Psychological Properties of
There are four psychological primary colours - red, blue, yellow and green. They relate respectively to the body, the mind, the emotions and the essential balance between these three. The psychological properties of the eleven basic colours are as follows (Learn how you can harness the positive effects of the colours, by joining us on one of our courses) :
RED
Being the longest wavelength, red is a powerful colour. Although not technically the most visible, it has the property of appearing to be nearer than it is and therefore it grabs our attention first. Hence its effectiveness in traffic lights the world over. Its effect is physical; it stimulates us and raises the pulse rate, giving the impression that time is passing faster than it is. It relates to the masculine principle and can activate the "fight or flight" instinct. Red is strong, and very basic. Pure red is the simplest colour, with no subtlety. It is stimulating and lively, very friendly. At the same time, it can be perceived as demanding and aggressive.
blue

Physical
Physical courage, strength, warmth, energy, basic survival,
Positive : 'fight or flight', stimulation, masculinity, excitement. Negative : Defiance, aggression, visual impact, strain.
communication, trust, efficiency, serenity, duty, logic, Positive : Intelligence, coolness, reflection, calm.
Negative : Coldness, aloofness, lack of emotion, unfriendliness. Blue is the colour of the mind and is essentially soothing; it affects us mentally, rather than the physical reaction we have to red. Strong blues will stimulate clear thought and lighter, soft blues will calm the mind and aid concentration. Consequently it is serene and mentally calming. It is the colour of clear communication. Blue objects do not appear to be as close to us as red ones. Time and again in research, blue is the world's favourite colour. However, it can be perceived as cold, unemotional and unfriendly.
Negative : Irrationality, fear, emotional fragility, depression, anxiety, suicide. The yellow wavelength is relatively long and essentially stimulating. In this case the stimulus is emotional, therefore yellow is the strongest colour, psychologically. The right yellow will lift our spirits and our self-esteem; it is the colour of confidence and optimism. Too much of it, or the wrong tone in relation to the other tones in a colour scheme, can cause self-esteem to plummet, giving rise to fear and anxiety. Our "yellow streak" can surface.

Positive :
Optimism, confidence, self-esteem, extraversion, emotional strength, friendliness, creativity
MAIN ARTICLE
en gre Balance
Negative : Boredom, stagnation, blandness, enervation. Green strikes the eye in such a way as to require no adjustment whatever and is, therefore, restful. Being in the centre of the spectrum, it is the colour of balance - a more important concept than many people realise. When the world about us contains plenty of green, this indicates the presence of water, and little danger of famine, so we are reassured by green, on a primitive level. Negatively, it can indicate stagnation and, incorrectly used, will be perceived as being too bland.
Vio

ua l
Spiritual awareness, containment, vision, luxury, authenticity, truth, quality.
Sp iri t
Positive :
balance, refreshment, universal love, rest, restoration, Positive : Harmony, reassurance, environmental awareness, equilibrium, peace.
Negative : Introversion, decadence, suppression, inferiority.
The shortest wavelength is violet, often described as purple. It takes awareness to a higher level of thought, even into the realms of spiritual values. It is highly introvertive and encourages deep contemplation, or meditation. It has associations with royalty and usually communicates the finest possible quality. Being the last visible wavelength before the ultra-violet ray, it has associations with time and space and the cosmos. Excessive use of purple can bring about too much introspection and the wrong tone of it communicates something cheap and nasty, faster than any other colour.
orange Physical comfort, food, warmth, security, sensuality, passion, abundance, Positive : fun.
Negative : Deprivation, frustration, frivolity, immaturity. Since it is a combination of red and yellow, orange is stimulating and reaction to it is a combination of the physical and the emotional. It focuses our minds on issues of physical comfort - food, warmth, shelter etc. - and sensuality. It is a 'fun' colour. Negatively, it might focus on the exact opposite - deprivation. This is particularly likely when warm orange is used with black. Equally, too much orange suggests frivolity and a lack of serious intellectual values.
Positive :
Physical tranquillity, nurture, warmth, femininity, love, sexuality, survival of the species.
pin
k
Negative : Inhibition, emotional claustrophobia, emasculation, physical weakness. Being a tint of red, pink also affects us physically, but it soothes, rather than stimulates. (Interestingly, red is the only colour that has an entirely separate name for its tints. Tints of blue, green, yellow, etc. are simply called light blue, light greenetc.) Pink is a powerful colour, psychologically. It represents the feminine principle, and survival of the species; it is nurturing and physically soothing. Too much pink is physically draining and can be somewhat emasculating.
grey
Positive : Psychological neutrality. Negative : Lack of confidence, dampness, depression, hibernation, lack of energy. Pure grey is the only colour that has no direct psychological properties. It is, however, quite suppressive. A virtual absence of colour is depressing and when the world turns grey we are instinctively conditioned to draw in and prepare for hibernation. Unless the precise tone is right, grey has a dampening effect on other colours used with it. Heavy use of grey usually indicates a lack of confidence and fear of exposure.

black Positive : Sophistication, glamour, security, emotional safety, efficiency, substance. Negative : Oppression, coldness, menace, heaviness. Black is all colours, totally absorbed. The psychological implications of that are considerable. It creates protective barriers, as it absorbs all the energy coming towards you, and it enshrouds the personality. Black is essentially an absence of light, since no wavelengths are reflected and it can, therefore be menacing; many people are afraid of the dark. Positively, it communicates absolute clarity, with no fine nuances. It communicates sophistication and uncompromising excellence and it works particularly well with white. Black creates a perception of weight and seriousness. It is a myth that black clothes are slimming: Which of these boxes do you think is bigger/heavier? The truth behind the myth is that black is the most recessive colour a matter of not drawing attention to yourself, rather than actually making you look slimmer.
White Positive :
Hygiene, sterility, clarity, purity, cleanness, simplicity, sophistication, efficiency.
Negative : Sterility, coldness, barriers, unfriendliness, elitism. Just as black is total absorption, so white is total reflection. In effect, it reflects the full force of the spectrum into our eyes. Thus it also creates barriers, but differently from black, and it is often a strain to look at. It communicates, "Touch me not!" White is purity and, like black, uncompromising; it is clean, hygienic, and sterile. The concept of sterility can also be negative. Visually, white gives a heightened perception of space. The negative effect of white on warm colours is to make them look and feel garish.
brown
Positive : Seriousness, warmth, Nature, earthiness, reliability, support. Negative : Lack of humour, heaviness, lack of sophistication. Brown usually consists of red and yellow, with a large percentage of black. Consequently, it has much of the same seriousness as black, but is warmer and softer. It has elements of the red and yellow properties. Brown has associations with the earth and the natural world. It is a solid, reliable colour and most people find it quietly supportive - more positively than the ever-popular black, which is suppressive, rather than supportive.

04-06 ANALOGOUS
01 MONOCHROMATIC Monochromatic is a color combination that is comprised of just one color. Wearing an outfit that is entirely blue, pink, green, etc, isn't something that you seen often, but if it's done right it can look super cool. The best way to pull of monochromatic is to mix different elements of a specific color together such as saturation, tint, or shade and design elementsq like the texture or structure of the fabric.
07 01 04 08
02-03 COMPLEMENTARY These are the colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel. Because of their high contrast, as the name implies, they complement each other the most out of any color combination. Because of this not only are they the simplest color combinations to create, but they're also the most bold. An easy way to add a complementary color combination to your outfit is to start out with a primary color as the base for the look and then wear its complement in your accessory choices.

02 05
11
A combination of any three colors that are directly next to each other on the color wheel are analogous. This color combination is the most harmonious out of all the color combinations. It's important to note that when creating an analogous color combination that you should choose colors that have enough contrast between them, whether that be through shade, tint, tone, etc, so they're not overwhelming. Although this color combination does contain three separate colors, only one of them should be the dominate color while the other two act as supports.
07-09
SPLIT COMPLEMENTARY
09
This color combination is found by taking a base color then pairing it with colors directly next to it's adjacent color. For example, in the picture above, a green-blue (teal) TRIADIC is paired with red and red-orange to create a Colors that form a triadic are groups of three colors split complementary. that are all equidistant from each other on the color This color combination wheel. Because of their placement on the color wheel, has much of the same when paired together, triadic color combinations tend lasting impression that to be very vibrant. Just like other color combinations, complementary color it helps to choose one color as the dominate color and schemes produce but the two others as supporting colors in accent pieces. because of it is split, it's generally more flattering and dimensional.

ALUMNI AND DEMISSIONER AGUS TRYATORO, ALUMNI, BATCH 2007 Before I join ALSA, All I knew was my friend in the same year and from my boarding house. You can say that I had an enclosed nature, the reason was that I came from out of town to study here. Thus making my insight and link I have is still limited. But it all changed after I joined ALSA. ALSA is an organisation where provide us everything such knowledge, family, sense of professionalism, and the network created from all of the members of ALSA, that don't have any gap whether it is the new student, organiser, demisioner, or even the alumni. Means that in ALSA, no matter how old the different you have with alumni, the connection which still exists. So in the end in ALSA the most important thing is fun. One of my amazing experience was that I even know the alumni that are different 9 years older than me and between us, there is no distance in our communication. Not end up with that, the aid we can get from the connection from ALSA also helps me after graduation. It was like my way was being open so I could get preparation from them and guidance on choosing the path to my future. So my message is, don't have negative thinking on dealing with your senior or even alumni, just so you know that they are very open as long as you respecting each other.
MUCH. KURNIAJI, ALUMNI, BATCH 2011
Before joining ALSA, my world was stagnant, that is all only circling around academic. After I joined ALSA it all started to be dynamic so my activity became various because in ALSA I got so many benefits in non-academic. The benefit includes from the wide range of friendship I could get, the sensation of the home which I got from the kinship I got from all element of ALSA, also the character to be professional that I could learn in ALSA. Not only that, in ALSA I could develop my soft skills, the skill that not everybody gets in order to survive in work. Also, the link that I got can help my opportunity in work.

Before I joined to ALSA, I didn't understand well about organizing, how to manage time and didn't know how to instill the leadership. But after I joined to ALSA , ALSA had taught me how to be a good leader, ALSA had given me a new family, had given me a precious experience in character building and other things those too much to be mentioned one by one. Don't ask what ALSA has given to us, but ask what we have given to ALSA. ALSA always be one!

ANOTHER LOCAL CHAPTER I will feel saturated or tired when I have my ow and at life. When I have a bad mood, I tend to be introvert and set myself as lonely as I am. Even, when I have no time to enjoy my me-time, I would like to wake up earlier and streaming some movies or I go for a walk and sightseeing alone. This is my mood-booster. It's like I am isolating myself. It's all because I will not think clearly, instead, I will make a bad decision, and this is what I am afraid of.
JULIO TAMBUNAN - ALSA LC UB
It is everybody responsibility to make a paper in order to graduate. But what makes me irritated about this is when my lecturer giving me a false hope. Just for me to be able to meet them, I have to chase them to the mall, their home, even restaurants and in the only false hope that they give me. My mood booster is either hang out with my boyfriend or attending actiVivy with my best friend in ALSA. They complete me when my boyfriend doesn't have the time I can just choose my best friends, visa verse.
AMEL SITEPU - ALSA LC UNSRAT
There will be some point where we just can't take something anymore, for me it is when I become saturated. The thing that will boost my mood is listening to the music, sometimes I play the video clip or the cover of the song. My favourite is Coldplay especially hymn for the weekend. If those are not working, sometimes it is good to go out and go travelling , I love going to beach or coffee garden and enjoying some hot chocolate
TRISTA NUR AZIZAH - ALSA LC UJ
So far I got a lot of moodbooster, but the main moodmooster that in uence me the most are my friends. Alhamdulillah, me and my close friends have the same path and the same dream. And they always cheer me up when I get down. So, I feel like I can not make them dissapointed. They are my moodbooster.
My bad mood comes after people that surround me are acting insane like as not I wish, also it happens when I am starving, hehe. I love to hear a good song, like recently, I often hear to La La Land's songs or streaming through Youtube.

WHAT IS YOUR
MOODBOOSTER
I usually have bad mood because of several reasons, such as; when I have a lot of tasks and those deadlines are getting nearer; already have an appointment, but cancelled; my time is for nothing, I am punctual, but others are not. My bad mood will be as I am being annoyed, even I'll be mad when someone bothers me. My mood-boosters are listening to the on-playlisted-song, eat some lovely foods, or go somewhere I love.
ALVI MAZIYAH - ALSA LC UNDIP
I rarely feel the bad mood. When I feel so tired, I'll nd my runaway. This will not happen for a long time. Watching dramas of Korea or even Running Man, which these both can make me happy are becoming my mood booster nowadays. I also eat some foods. I have an unforgettable moment when I had a bad mood, I ever play on the outside when the rain was coming, then I sang when I was in the shower.
BUNGA - ALSA LC UGM I actually considered myself as a person who can't easily become bad mood. But there are things that irritated me the most, when my plan don't go as I wish or when my friend making a joke that is overly abundant. To make it better, I have my own mood booster, that is relaxing, especially sleeping. These make me forgets all problem that makes me irritated.

M
Memang tidak semua masyarakat kulit hitam setuju, tapi Martin tetap yakin bahwa dengan p e r d a m a i a n m a s a l a h r a s b i s a d i s e l e s a i k a n . I n i ya n g mengidentikannya dengan Mahatma Gandhi, bahkan beberapa orang memberinya julukan "Black Gandhi". Salah satu pidatonya yang terkenal adalah "I Have A Dream".

Lake Hiller Located in Middle Island, Goldfields – Esperance region, Western Australia. Notable by its pink colors, some confused by its appeareance but scientist have some theory to explained it, like the presence of the Dunaliella salina microalgae, other says that the presence of halophilic bacteria in the salt crusts could be another explanation. First discovered by Matthew Flinders in 1802. But don't worry as for now it is used for tourism purpose, and safe for us to swim. But the lake is isolated so it will be quite hard to visit this lake.
Blood Rain Red rain, occured several times in India, reported back since 1896, and most recently happend in June 2012. Strangely around December 2012 it also happened in Sri Lanka. It became a mystery for a few years that it baffled many people by this phenomenon. It first speculated that the color of red is coming from the fallout from a hypothetical meteor burst. But then it proved by the study of India government that the red by the airborne spores from a local green alga from the genus Trentepohlia, later identified as Trentepohlia annulata.
Crystal Cave
Called a Giant Crystal Cave, connected with Naica Mine 300 meters below the surface in Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico. Discovered by the brothers Eloy and Javier Delgado. In the main chamber found the cave's largest crystal is 12 m in length, 4 m in diameter and 55 tons in weight, nominated as one of the largest natural crystal ever found. The cave is still not sucsessfully explored, because it is extremely hot, reach up to 58 degree celcius. Formed by the heating up of ground water from a magma, with the process is the slow diffusion of oxygen from the cool, low density surface water into hot, high density ground water that eventually form a crystallized hydrated sulfate gypsum, lasted for 500,000 years forming enormous crystals found today.

D i k a r e n a k a n ko n d i s i kemahasiswaan telah kondusif setelah JEC berkoordinasi dengan Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa maka diberangkatkanlah tiga orang mahasiswa untuk mengikuti kegiatan tersebut mereka ialah : 1. Wiku Krisnamurti sebagai Formatur ALSA. 2. Charis Ismail (Angkatan 1998) sebagai perwakilan dari Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa. 3.
