system diagrams Garipรงe Village, located in the northern part of the European side of Istanbul, is located on the birds' migration routes. Bird watchers often come here, observing and counting with cameras and binoculars. Within the scope of the project, the impact of the new bridge, -which will be built in Istanbul and will pass through this village- to the nature is discussed. It is important that birdwatching points should not distract birds, do not obstruct the winds, and be made with a harmonious form and material. In this experimental study which lasted for 2 weeks, it was aimed to design an observation point which was settled as a parasite in the abyss and which adapted to nature with its structure and form.

COMMUNITY CENTER tags:düşeyde yaşam, module, connection, axis, articulation, triangle, studio, workshop, gate...
models and The community center, designed in Kadikoy, has sports, health and cultural centers. In the region where traffic and population density is high, the need for open space was determined. A square was designed between the two points where pedestrian density is high. Thus, it was ensured that the area became a community center that constantly alive with help of the form that adapted to topography and tha paths those connecting the dots and provides public areas.

WORKSHOP STUDIOS tags: Athens, Metaxurgeio, rehabilitation, eclectic, adaptive, old-new, renovation, street art, work shops, accomodation...
scenario Metaxurgeio began to be abandoned later, even it was a quite lively neighborhood on past. It has now become a secluded place known as dangerous in Athens. But as we walk around the streets, we see that street art lives here. We learn that many artists opening exibitions here and organizing workshops. The abandonment of the neighborhood made it attractive for artists somehow. In this project, it is aimed that by using this potential, neighborhood can be revitalize or rehabitated.
scenario considering Metaxurgeio’s recent impairment, lack of care and attention, a community center was designed here. It is aimed that the artists can live here and organize courses and workshops.
for this purpose, the small building units located at the front and preventing the visibility were removed. So that a clear visual contact from street was provided.
a design scenario was set up, which deals with the transformation and evolution of the historic depot building. The form of the depot building has evolved with some interventions.
scenario an annex designed to sit upright on top of the old building and contrast with the old building. This place is designed as a transparent studio.
this annex was intended to be perceived clearly by people passing. So it was designed as a transparent structure. We wanted to cover the public space underneath.
The old building was also strengthened in the structural sence and turned into a studio. And the bottom part of the old building is transformed to a accomodation place for street artists. In addition, the shaded area under the extension of the building is designed as an open stage for small theater studies.

POROUS CITY tag: density, industrial heritage, gridal pattern, productivity, creativity, social interactivity, access to nature, limitations, density and urbanism ...
scenario As a negative phenomenon, high density in large cities;“crowding, carries the potential of a density that will turn into energy and diversity when negative inputs are removed. It is often an enigma that what to do with the facilities that leave the city center to be replaced with robotic facilities, and what will happen to the buildings left behind. At this point, the Demirciler industrial site in Zeytinburnu is an interesting base for the investigation and solution of these problems with its stable and gridal planning character. This region, which is on the agenda of moving now, has been determined as our working area in search of solutions for similar situations. The project aims to protect the productive pattern of the area together with the porous city project and to revive it together in the social environment. Searching for a solution for the unbalanced density distributions in the cities constitutes the main impetus of the project.
project studio VII In addition to the concept of density in terms of physical meaning, the concept of density perceived in connection with interaction with the space is used. The “perceived intensity is the density that is felt as integrated with the space where the human feels instant. While a room with people who do not know each other is perceived as dense for them, a group of friends staying in the same room can change their perception of density. this perception is directly related to human psychology, socio-cultural norms and habits. While the main problem for spatial density is inadequate living space, the main problem for social density is the obligation to interact with many people. One of the focal points of the project is to use the social density and save it from the unwanted situation.
masterplan process
Due to the lack of green space in the region and for the purpose of creating public focal points, gaps were opened in order to infiltrate the green areas.
FabLabs, which were placed in the area to increase individual production, were placed in the parts nearby open areas because of establishing relations with nature and having the function of public boundary.
In order to concentrate the vehicle density on certain locations; offices, cultural buildings and eating areas were placed on the main streets in line with the main axes.
Afterwards, the houses were placed on the ground floors, partly in the inner areas and in the areas designed to be less dense.
By connecting the created gaps together, a network has been designed to form a second layer with opposite character to the substrate. This network was planned to determine the character of the landscape in the spaces.
Office buildings, which are planned to be higher than the houses, were placed at more edge points considering that they should not prevent the sunlight of the houses that to be located in the central parts.
models and sketches
models and sketches a new layer has been designed on the rational typology of the industrial zone. this second layer would control the social density as the upper elevations reached, and the hybrid position in design by showing its own character.
This new layer creates a new character in the upper elevations and becomes a fluid element in the opposite of the gridal order. Together with this fluidity, it also creates facades and landscaping. It doesn't compete with streets below, but it enriches the scenario by merging with it.
3D section The structure of the industrial buildings on the ground level was preserved. These are designed as office and fablab. The cranes, which were previously present, were protected. The old industrial character, was somehow adapted to the new world. The old machines of industry have become 3d printers or laser cutters of fablabs.
3D models and plans In the existing structural system, different functions are designed differently. The terraced houses were the priority. Appropriate plans were made for each residential unit to receive sunlight properly. These common terraces are accessible by circulation units. In this way, they become common terraces that strengthen neighborly relations.

diagrams interaction with city
The project area; it forms a complete boundary between a low, rational and orderly settlement and a region that is uneven, irregular and has a highrise settlement typology. The starting points of the scenario were predictions about the future functions of AtatĂźrk Auto Industry and urban life - studio life interface issues. What makes cinema so valuable is the perfect branch of art to reflect the dynamism of modern life. Therefore the studio should be fed from the city and offer something to the city. The main aim of the project is to ensure that the production of the “kitchenâ€? is made through the interfaces, while the production process is continuous and efficient.
Using the traces of the prevailing urban fabric in the industrial zone, the land was divided.
The land serves as a wall between different urban textures. For strengthening the urban bond between the industry and the plaza area, permeability was prioritized.
diagrams
An urban space is planned in the area where urban life touching the area. A public square was designed and the buildings were planned further away.
The first contact with the city (I); the functions that will serve the public. Section (III) is devoted to the workshop functions which will work with the industrial zone, and (II) is the places of film production.
The masses were buried on the ground in a way that both the city could witness the production of the film and that the film production could continue uninterruptedly and efficiently. The film production traffic and urban life designed as overlapping layers.
At the interfaces of the studios and the city, there are facades with continuously changing pores that enable observers to witness the production of films. These facades can be porous or opaque when desired.
While the inter-studio traffic continues at the lower elevation, urban observer watches the upper elevation. Thus, materials that need to be taken to the film sets can be moved more easily and work traffic is not affected.
The facade of the exhibition and research center can serve as an open-air cinema at times of activity. Thus, a strong connection is established between the function of this campus and the facade of the building. The building works with the urban park.

storyboards The main design idea in the project is that the film studios are positioned underground for efficient operation and the observer city can witness the production from the upper elevations. Therefore, pedestrian and vehicle-personnel axes are planned at different levels. The open exhibition and activity areas associated with film production will play an important role in building strong ties with the region. The exhibitions that will change periodically will keep the interest and curiosity of cinema in the city alive and enrich the place by making the place dynamic. In the areas of activity related to the workshop, the workshop will occasionally take out the production, and will have a live identity with the festivals and workshops that will be held there.

The project area is located in an intersection zone between the low-rise settlements in the industrial zone and the tall buildings in the plazas. The idea of not being highrise in the project, and being buried in the topography is related to finding it own place of existence among these opposites. The project aims to be attractive with its open space and the space it creates. In line with this idea, the urban space and the urban park, which are created nearby to the skyscrapers, are designed to be a good recreational area for the employees who are working in those plazas.

URBAN CARPET tags: weaving, module, loop, landmark, rythm, public, ...
renderings Weaving is one of the most widespread and traditional crafts in the world. It has been employed to create carpets, shelters, baskets, containers and so much more. It has been practiced for thousands of years, and the wide variation of weaving is remarkable. This unique Urban Carpet Landmark will take this craft into architectural scale to weav spaces with a looping structural system. MAA’s design explores ways of producing architectural interventions based on an understanding of the city as a field of dynamics and combines infrastructure and architecture at the center of the Dubai Creek Harbour. It provides a coherence between its flowing design and the harmony of this flow with the pathways on , in and under the Landmark. Urban Carpet Landmark is thought to be a continually contested and negotiated transient space, a ‘public living room, an orientation space, a public and private open space.

DOLAC BRIDGE tags: transportation, rythm, ecology, landmark, lighting, public, old town, symbiosis, circulation ...
renderings Dolac Bridge will define a natural means of communication with the potential of combining city transformations in Banja Luka. In order to fully grasp the entity of the city variety of investigations through the existing morphological and structural elements defines the formation of its design. Urban and local scale proposals of the design all feed into and support the main concept. The Bridge has a rthym of vertical elements which has several properties that integrates itself into the environment with its forest like light structure. This design dialogue creates the relationship between fortress Kastel and the Dolac Bridge as a Veduta of the future to define the identity of this ambience in which these two characters meet. The bridge will create a harmony as an expression of a cultural continuity in the symbiosis between the historical heritage and contemporary.
