Our Story
Alto 'di Versi is Amber Jewellery Manufactury located in the north of Poland in Gdansk - the most prestigious area of Pomeranian region. We have been running this family business since 1967, when our grandfather Frank Falinsky (watchmaker by profession) fell in love with most precious Polish gemstone - Amber. He started making his first jewellery in early 60’s last century.

watchmaker, a generations-old family business. As the family grew, Frank’s father worked hard to feed his children. When Frank was only 14, his father fell ill, leaving the workshop for his custody. As a young man Frank was bold in his willingness to interact with other cultures and explore new opportunities beyond his family circumstances. He developed a keen interest in his town's most famous local product: Baltic Amber. That soon became his biggest life passion.
‘My dream is to bestow all women around the world with Baltic Amber’. The first lady he bestowed with Amber was his wife. In 1962 Falinsky made his first silver engagement ring with white Amber which is now our family symbol being passed from mother to daughter. Since then Falinsky gave up watchmaking industry and dedicated himself totally to jewelry making. His wife remained his inspiration for creating sophisticated jewelry designs. First boutique opened in Gdansk's fashionable shopping street Mariacka, in 1967. His passion and ceaseless dedication to Baltic Amber soon made him a well known artist. After his death in 2012, the business was run by his only son Roman who inherited the passion and perfection from his father. Nowadays we are proud to represent his name and feel obliged to cultivate Falinsky’s legacy and make his dream come true.
