Provide passive insulation to prevent thermal bridging in apartment roller blind boxes.
SOLUTIONS
•
Five layers of Spaceloft® (10 mm) aerogel insulation were installed behind the roller blind box.
BENEFITS
•
Spaceloft was the only insulation that could achieve the needed thermal performance in the thin space behind the roller blind box. Other insulations applied in same thickness could not as effectively prevent thermal bridging, due to Spaceloft’s industry-leading thermal conductivity (lowest of any material).
