about project.
[je.lu.jur] house is a social enterpreneurship project that highlights the idea of creating a women empowerment centre dedicated to empowering underprivileged women through the art of tailoring and sewing at 29, Jalan Riong, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur by repurposing APW (A Place Where), which aims to provide a platform for women from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop valuable skills in textile-based production, while also fostering a sense of community and self-sufficiency. This initiative found its inspiration from the statistically proven issues regarding urban poverty among women specifically in the Bangsar regional area where women face challenges in generating income due to unstable employment. Thus, this centre provides a safe and inclusive space where women can learn, collaborate, and support one another in their journey towards economic independence.
