THE LINC pod
The LINC, is a pod that serves as a co-working workstation that can be used either to work or leisure.
This furniture provides its end users with a sense of closeness but simultaneously keeping them safe in accordance with the post-pandemic lifestyle.
01 INTRODUCTION
THE LINC POD
MAINCOMPONENT
The main component consists of a pod with a (1) person seating that comes with an adjustable desk.
This pod functions as the main component that will be connected to an add-on component that serves more than (1) person; 2 or 3 that can easily be attached and detached.
PURPOSE
+ to give end users a more pleasant and comfortable experience which includes a workstation in a communal space.
+ to provide some privacy for the users while still being close to one another, in other word; connected.
+ to prepare end users for a healthier environment that we have to live in after going through a pandemic phase.
DESIGN CONCEPT
TETRIS
A puzzle video game involving rearranging things of different shape into a physical space.
The concept derivation from ‘tetris’ is due to it’s physical form that shows a connection towards one another (tetris blocks).

The design of this pod makes it easy for users to do work comfortably at a space other than their typical workstation.
It also gives the users an adequate amount of privacy that will also prevent any virus to spread easily.

Polycarbonate with its intrinsic qualities is a sustainable material with a minimal impact on the environment. It is fully recyclable at the end of its life.

Felt is an ancient, low-impact and completely biodegradable material. It’s the best natural insulator and has different applications, from design to eco-friendly architecture.
(iii) butt hinge
Can withstand the weight of the heavy metal windows and can hold ball bearings as well, which makes it a convenient option.
