When I was younger i had this night light... It was in the shape of a tea kettle. I remember laying in my bed every night watching the warm, yellow glow before I fell asleep. Something about that night light intigued me because I

would find myself bringing my other toys to that corner to play.

what it is about lights that intrigued kids. I wanted to find out
Are they captivated by the movement of light? Do they enjoy casting shadows with light? Does having light around make them feel safe at night? How can they have fun with light?

A little light buddy for kids. I wanted to create a
light for kids
to bring with them
wherever they
want to play . They would also be able to use it when they need some company before going to sleep.

How could
bike parking
be safe?
32
a lyssa.b isco ch o@g m a i l.co m | 91 6.9 03.4489
Why care about bikes? With biking booming across the world,
storage
facilities are becoming essential.
34
Why is it so
difficult to park
A cluster of overcrowding
Very poor lighting when
bikes at one parking spot.
parking your bike at night.
bikes?
Bike theft is prevalent.
People want to feel safe knowing their bike is okay where they left it.
A bike parking structure that promotes biking. I wanted to share the message of
the bike community
growth in
and have it represented
by a leaf-like form.

Say hello to... "I always ask my students
Anna 4 years experience after school program
where they get their answer. If they don't know, we go back to the reading and look for it."
Robin
"I need something students
6 years expereince
can play with that would
1st-3rd grade
be a follow up to what I just taught..."
Michelle
"Classrooms are getting
3 years experience
larger but there's one
substitute
teacher to all these kids, I can only do so much to help each student."
44
I spoke with them and this is
what I learned...
Due to classrooms increasing in size, teachers are unable to keep track of how each student is progressing. Also, they must take into account that students have different learning capabilities and some may not understand the lesson like the majority of the class.
