STEP 1: MAKE WITH JOY Complete the project in your Maker Box. This gives you the experience you need to teach your first class.
STEP 2: TEACH WITH PASSION It’s time to set up your first class! Who do you know that will support your new business venture? List 10 people who you can call and suggest they host a small class with you. After your first class, you will ask your participants to host a class with your for their friends and family as well. You will continue to book classes this way! Ideally you should be conducting at least two creative classes a month. Who will come to my very first class?
“I am working with a brand new company called A Maker’s Studio. We teach people how to make simple DIY projects that beautify their home using a patented paint and a carefully curated, easy-to-use product line. We are also Difference Makers and support restoring the lives of those affected by human trafficking. Hosting a class is a lot of fun and it’s very easy. You invite a few friends, and I bring all the products for each guest to make a creative project. As a host, you’ll receive one of our beautiful RE•NEW ALL candles for your hospitality. If your event reaches $200 in sales, which I know it will, you can place a one-time order for anything in our catalog and receive a 25% discount. I have two dates left this month (have your dates ready). Which one works best for you? The entire class is less than 90 minutes – I promise you a fun, creative, and delightful event.”
STEP 3: MENTOR WITH LOVE As you begin to teach your monthly classes, you’ll find people who are interested in starting their own creative business. Always ask people if they want to have a business like yours – anytime, anywhere. Be bold about the opportunity to change someone’s life. Remember, you are providing them with additional income and a community of like-minded creative people ready to make a difference in the world. What do you say? Here are answers to a few of the most common questions: What kind of unique DIY projects would I be making? Some examples of our projects include monogrammed glasses, tea towels like you see at Pottery Barn, wall art, and a host of other projects you can choose from!
How do you support the elimination of human trafficking? We employ former human trafficking victims at A Makers' Studio.. They make all of our RE•NEW•ALL and Difference Maker candles. Amy believes everyone should have the opportunity to make a difference in the world and reach their individual potential.
What is so special about the paint? Rescue Restore Paint is our founder’s own formulation – you don’t have to do a lot of prep work to your surface, it dries quickly, finishes exceptionally well, is safe for you and the environment, and even smells great!
How do I earn money? When you enroll, I will review the compensation plan with you in detail. For now, know that you will earn retail commission on everything you sell as well as team commission when you meet certain qualifications.
