A Maker’s SuccessGuide
— first thirty day goals —
— Congratulations — You made the exciting decision to become a business owner with A Makers’ Studio! We couldn’t be more thrilled to have you as a part of our Maker family! Think about the last time you took a long trip. After ensuring you had plenty of snacks for the road, you probably keyed your destination into your phone or GPS… before even starting your car! Right there on that little screen your entire route popped up, and a kind voice began to guide you through each twist, turn, and reroute along the way. A business is not so different from following your GPS to get exactly where you want to go. Just like your car, your dreams need a road map, a step-by-step guide that takes you all the way to the level of success you desire.

That’s why we created A Maker’s SuccessGuide. The SuccessGuide breaks down the most important business milestones into three, easy-to-follow, 30-day time blocks. Your company is your partner, and like all great partners, we want to help you become the business owner you always dreaming of being. Follow our lead and you will be earning a meaningful income, while helping YOUR TEAM do the same! You will notice many of the activities described in this guide are repeated. That’s because repetition is the key to growing any successful business… your A Makers’ Studio business is no different. REPEATING behaviors over and over creates habits. These habits create momentum. Momentum creates success. Follow your company’s lead in developing the behaviors, habits, and momentum required to reach your dreams. We’ve taken our many years of expertise in the social selling world and combined it with the most current successful strategies. Then we added a special A Makers’ Studio twist on traditional methods, so you can gain faster momentum, creating a more sustainable and meaningful business. From all of this comes your SuccessGuide – A Makers’ Studio GPS leading you to become a difference maker in life and business!

GreatStart Guide Your SuccessGuide actually begins with the GreatStart Guide in your PaceSetter Pak. We urge you to work through the GreatStart Guide in your first week. Here, you will learn many important behaviors needed to grow your business. They include the following activities:
1. Discover your WHY. Identifying the passion and motivation inside you is the way you will grow your A Makers’ Studio business with enthusiasm and purpose
2. Create a Contact List. Engaging with these early
supporters will help you introduce your new business to friends and family, while expanding your network
3. Set up your Social Media. Quickly and easily introducing your new business to everyone you know can create buzz for your first events
4. Craft your Story. Planning and practicing what you will say to
others about hosting Creative Gatherings and becoming Makers themselves will build your confidence as a business owner

YOUR CALENDAR One of the most underutilized, yet most important tools for building your business is your calendar which we discussed in your GreatStart Guide. Hopefully, you have your planner in place, you’ve identified your personal commitment and you’ve chosen the specific time blocks dedicated to growing your new business. Each Maker has her own unique lifestyle and commitments. No matter your circumstances, one of the most important activities you will do to build a sustainable business is identifying the specific number of hours you have to dedicate to your business each week. Amy recommends you start the practice of Sunday evening planning. Use that time to look at the upcoming week and choose the days and time blocks where you will focus on your business. Whether you have five hours a week to focus on your business or fifteen, put them on your calendar. This week, you may be able to work your business on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Next week, it may be Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. BE SPECIFIC! Choose the days and time periods you will dedicate to your business and commit to that schedule – this is a commitment to yourself, to serving your customers well, and to unleashing the potential of your business. Calendars can be intimidating at first, but we believe you will soon see that keeping your calendar actually empowers you to reach your dreams. You will grow to love your calendar, depend on it, and wonder what in the world you ever did without it! 7

• Reach out FIVE PEOPLE from your Contact List and
tell them all about your new business • Invite each one to be one of your first Hosts • Share your excitement about the Reward & Redecorate Host Incentives they will enjoy • Connecting with 15 people each week should produce 2-3 new event bookings: • Two Creative Gatherings scheduled in your first 30 days • Two Creative Gatherings scheduled for the upcoming month • Invite every person you speak to or meet at a Creative Gathering to join you in your business. This opportunity DOES change lives: • It’s so much more fun when you create with someone else… and even MORE fun when you can turn your creativity into financial freedom! • Makers enjoy unique benefits and rewards. We have two ways for you to share the details with a potential new Maker: • Share the Opportunity Webinar in your MakerOffice • Share the Comp Plan Webinar in your MakerOffice • Connecting with 60 people in your first four weeks should result in bringing at least one new Maker onto your Team: • You are changing lives by growing your own Team! • You will earn the title (and income!) of One Star Team Leader in just one month!
