The First Look There are few days that you plan for as much as your wedding day. You spend hours on details, invitations, venues, food and guest lists. This can all seem overwhelming and sometimes the intimate moments and the romantic feel of the day can escape you. We tell everyone that the best advice we can give is to take five minutes every once in a while to just look around, see the day that you and your loved one have created and take a long look at the real reason you are here, your new spouse. We are huge fans of first looks for just this reason. It forces you to slow down and take note, quietly, intimately, and with the solitude that is so deserved on a wedding day. The hustle and bustle of getting family and bridal parties and group photos done before making your big entrance into the reception can be nerve racking even in the most well planned and organized occasions. The tradition of seeing the bride for the first time when she walks down the aisle is something that can also be very breathtaking. And as breathtaking as this moment is, it is also a very public moment. We have found that sometimes the emotions can be a little more guarded when all eyes are on you. The moment when all of this hard work, expectations and emotions meet is probably my favorite part of this job. Seeing the tears, the laughs, the endless joy is something that many people donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t get to see on a regular basis and we have been blessed enough to photograph these moments for the most deserving people. Every couple is different and every wedding is different as well, that is what we love so much about our job. We enjoy being a calming voice during a chaotic and sometimes stressful day. We enjoy looking back on the images that we have had the pleasure to capture probably as much as the bride and groom themselves do. We feel lucky to meet the people that we do and take part in the merging of two lives. We want everyone to be able to see their day as something that happened exactly the way that they thought it would. We always encourage a first look and see this as a way for couples to really focus on each other, before the festivities begin. We also realize the first look is not the traditional approach but we guess we have always taken pride in â&#x20AC;&#x153;not being traditional photographers â&#x20AC;&#x153;. But we also understand that the image of seeing your groom or your bride for the first time surrounded by family and friends is and always will be an emotional moment that many people look forward to. It is a great time to steal those last few moments together before all of the busyness of the day begins. You get to spend time together and sooth all those nerves leading up to the ceremony time. You get phenomenal pictures without the rush of the sun going down or the rush of getting family, bridal party and you and your spouse photographs all crammed into the cocktail hour. You get to enjoy your cocktail party with your friends and family. And best of all you get that amazing moment of seeing each other all over again as you walk down the aisle. Just keep in mind that this moment will still happen, but with the first look, you got a little head start on the rest of the world.

Some frequently asked questions Do you include engagements sessions in your collections? We offer a product credit that can be applied towards an engagement session. We also have engagements available A’ la carte. We really love engagement sessions because it gives the four of us a chance to get to know each other, make friends and just have some fun. Then on your wedding day you’ll know how we work and you’ll be more relaxed. Who wants a stranger showing up on their wedding day shoving a camera in their face? You’d much rather have friends that you are already comfortable with, right? – And we prefer it that way too. Your photographers will be the only vendors spending your entire wedding day with you – the most important day of your life. Wouldn’t it be more fun if you knew them? We are working with a budget can you work with us on a price? We do have payment options available to all of our clients. How many final images do we get? The amount of images depends on the time of each collection, the more hours you choose the more images you will receive. We take about 100 images per hour and of those we keep about 80-85% the others are deleted because of duplicate images, eyes closed or shadowing, of the remaining images they are all edited and those are the ones that you will receive of your final images. On average you will get 600-750 images for an 8-hour wedding. What time will we need to be ready on our wedding day for pictures? We arrive about 2.5 to 3 hours before the ceremony start time to photograph the getting ready shots, all of the details and the "First Look". We encourage you to be ready by the time we arrive so we can get all the shots we need before the wedding, so after the ceremony you can just relax and enjoy your party! When will our Wedding Day pictures be ready? Our editing time is between 6-8 weeks. Sometimes it is earlier depending if it is not within the peek season (peek season is October- April) then about 4 weeks. We strive to get all collections ready before this time because we know you are so excited to see your photos. When should we book our Engagement Session? This is great to plan about 5-6 months before your wedding. Most couple love to show their engagement photos at their wedding or use them for the save the date cards. This will also give us enough time to edit and order your prints or make a guest book. We will also send you a questionnaire and information email with some great tips on what to wear and make it fun. Sessions usually are about 90 minutes long and you will receive 40-60 edited pictures delivered via PASS digitally.

Where should we get our pictures printed? All of our collections come with an online PASS gallery and print rights & you can print anywhere you like, but we highly suggest using a professional printer. There is a HUGE difference in quality between a 1-hour photo lab and a professional print lab. We do have professional prints available via PASS and those range from $1-$4 each depending on size and they are delivered right to your door, easy as pie! Do you travel? Yep, we love to travel! We can discuss travel fees on the date of booking. There are no travel fees if wedding is within 50 miles round-trip from Longwood, Florida 32750. Travel fees if out of town (Orlando) 75+ miles round-trip are as follows 75-125 miles round-trip $75, 125-200 miles round-trip $100, 200-275 miles round-trip $150 Anything over 275 miles round trip will require hotel (2 nights -the night before and the night of wedding), or airfare, and rental car will be charged actual expense. We will let you know of any fees before they are charged. How do we order a wedding album? Album design is include in all of our collections and it is complimentary. We can meet up for a consultation, or over the phone and go over your top picks for the album and then we will get to designing. Once we have designed the album we will email you a proof album for your approval, and then it’s off to the printer. This usually takes about 4 weeks from start to finish to get your albums in hand. Do you have backup equipment? You bet, we have a back up camera, lenses, flash equipment, batteries and memory cards. All of our backup equipment is of equal quality to our main equipment. This is a must, and we make sure that all of our equipment is regularly serviced and cleaned and ready to go for your big day. Do you have insurance? Yes, we are licensed and insured for 1 million in liability and damages. We bring all of our insurance info with us on every shoot. Every photographer should have this! If we hire you, will you be the ones shooting our wedding? What if you are sick? YES, it’s just us – we have no associate photographers. Since we started shooting, we have never missed one wedding. However, in the event of a true emergency, we would make all of the arrangements for an amazing, professional, insured, wedding photographer to fulfill our obligations to you, at no additional cost. Do you pose us? Yes, and no. We’re not fans of traditional "posing", but we will help direct you into poses that capture the natural essence of you two as a couple during the portrait-centric parts of your day. We like to have some fun and capture your genuine emotion, but we also know that our couples aren’t professional models and don't always know how to stand or where to place your hands, so we will help guide you through that a bit. Amalie has a fashion background so she gets a lot of her inspiration from fashion magazines. Jeff on the other hand sees things a little bit more out of the box, and a bit edgier, Amalie likes to call him the photo ninja.

Do you hire a second shooter? We are a husband and wife shooting team – so you always have both of us. In our opinion, it's so important to have another set of eyes and a fresh perspective. We have a very cohesive and complimentary style to each other and half the time we can’t remember who shot what because we are so similar. Where will our engagement session take place? That is up to you! We have a ton of spots we love shooting in and around the Central Florida area, and we will be more than happy to make suggestions to help you. So we met you, we love you, how do we secure our date? Awww thanks! To secure your date, we require a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer. What if we cancel is our retainer refundable? Once we have received your contract and retainer, all monies paid are non-refundable. We have set aside your date for you and you alone, and have had to turn other brides away who have inquired about your date. Unfortunately your retainer is non-refundable once received since we have blocked that day off just for you. Can I see an example of a wedding day timeline? You got it! Here is a basic timeline to show you how we work (this is only a sample). We want this day to go as smoothly as possible for you and your guests so here is a break down of what you can expect on your wedding day. 2 - 2.5 hours before ceremony start time- Amalie & Jeff will arrive and start the "getting ready" and detail shots. Then Jeff will go to the Groom & Groomsmen and Amalie over to the Bride and her party. 1.5 hour until wedding Amalie will start with the "First Look" (I highly recommend this to everyone) We get some shots of the two of you and your Bridal party. We need to be done about 1/2 hour before wedding that way you have time to freshen up and relax before your big arrival. 10-15 minutes before wedding Amalie and Jeff will leave the Bridal party to go to our spots and wait to capture your arrival. During the ceremony we move around like photo ninjas not disrupting your ceremony or guests in order to get that perfect shot. After ceremony we whisk you away and do some quick and fun family and bridal party shots. This usually takes about 20 minutes. After family shots if you have chosen not to do the "First Look" we start on your couple shots. This usually takes anywhere from 30-40 minutes. Now go in and relax & enjoy your party! We will be taking a few more detail shots of the flowers, food, place setting etc.…You go eat and don't forget we need to eat too. We will continue taking photos as the evening unfolds from the introduction, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss and the wild dancing guests (you know there are always a few) We will stay until the night winds down and before we go we make sure that we have taken all the photos you need and say our goodbyes. We would love to tell you a little about ourselves. We are a husband and wife team and we love photography. We are Jeff & Amalie, a mom and a dad navigating our way through raising two wild and crazy kids who are able to make us laugh until our stomachs hurt. We are each other’s better half. Most importantly we are best friends. We have been called nerds, but we wear that as a badge of honor. We are based in Orlando, however we do offer our services outside of Orlando and we are available and love to travel!
