We carry music with us everywhere, we have songs for pretty much every state of mind. Music has an impact on how creative we are, how well we focus, how we remember things and how productive we are overall. The music we listen to can cause a shift in your brain waves, it gives the ability to make links between various elements when designing. Music and design are interwoven in their process. I become the project once the music begins, and the design becomes music to my eyes.

To choose a relevant, relatable topic in science or medicine to be broken down and elaborated upon through typographical expression in a concise, simple, and educational electronic brochure, on the Ipad Mini.

The topic chosen was headaches, everyone has them, but very few people know how to distinct them. Through the electronic brochure, the user would understand the type of headache through the provided symptoms and signs, and thusly how to deal with it. The design direction emphasizes calm and serenity, both elements anyone with a headache would seek. The idea is to keep the reader calm, focused, and relaxed while using the brochure, and be able to alleviate the headache through interaction with the brochure freely without having to worry about noises, flashing lights, or rapidly moving images while informing and creating interest.

To recreate typeforms to express an architectural subject that will be displayed in an exhibition in San Francisco.

I chose to express park, residential and campus architecture. Creating a set of three mood boards that would capture details that could be expressed through abstract typography and could be photographed in a setting that would be appropriate for each type of architecture. For the residential architecture I chose the word “heal” to express what one would expect from a home, to be relaxing and cozy. As for the park, I chose the word “play” because that is mostly the purpose of a park, for pleasure purposes. Finally, the campus architecture, I chose the word “focus” to emphasis a campus’s atmosphere for the students, it requires a calm, clean and clutter free environment.

The problem I chose was one that is very common in our culture, and that is the lack of a creative platform that unites and allows creatives to network. Unmute72 mediates passionate and young creatives of all disciplines to network and develop their skills by providing source materials such as books, software, and relevant technolog y. U l t i m a t e l y c o n n e c t i n g t h e m w i t h collaborating organizations to pick up and expand talented participants. The design direction and nomenclature emphasizes freedom of expression in a judgment free and constructive medium that is for everyone. And because Saudi Arabia houses fundamental and cultural beliefs, the illustrations to advertise our brand will remain faceless, but highly approachable and professional.

To choose a popular book and completely redesign it to cater to and reach a new, larger population of people.

I selected a celebrity photography book that mainly targeted and appealed to professional photographers seeking inspiration for their work. My revamped version of the book is emphasizing the humanitarian efforts and projects already in the book in order to charm a younger audience who show an interest in charity work. The redesigned icons and overall book layout are now vibrantly youthful, yet professional. Making it approachable as well as awareness raising for the youth without overwhelming them with too much text or complex imaging. The book would be geared for distribution at schools and charity events to best reach the target audience.

To scout for seasonal, Halloween themed handwritten signs in public, select on and create an event revolving around the general themes of the sign and its content.

I created an event based around a Halloween theme photoshoot for young girls. To create a morale and self-esteem boosting brand that was felt by the girls due to their established interest in dressing up and playing pretend. The design strategy was to theme, spooky yet fun and entirely tailored to the girls as individuals to truly let their singular identities shine through. The project deliverables hold annual and repeat value, they were specifically designed to help parents make the most of their little Halloween Queens experience that year and who they choose to be from one year to the next.

The rca brand is one of the oldest and well known for brands in the consumer electronics industry. However, the problem is it is a dying brand and it needs to be reborn into a new evolved mission.

The rca brand always had a role in bringing innovations from the lab to the home over the past 90 years. However, the brand was not limited to broadcasting and electronics for entertainment and news, they were also active in military, space electronics and satellite communications. Therefore, my vision in rebranding the rca brand is to devise new methods leveraging technologies to allow cooperation between employees, customers, partners, corporate collaborations, networks alliances, and economic interactions between business organizations around the world.

To integrate and communicate the director Zhang Yimou’s film festival using different design solutions.

The film director Zhang Yimou is a Chinese film director, producer, writer and actor, and former cinematographer. I analyzed that the themes of his films is the resilience of Chinese people in the face of hardship and adversity. I noted his use for their rich use of color, as can be seen in some of his early films, like Raise the Red Lantern. His films often explores the dark side of life in small Chinese rural communities Also, most of his films begin with the title displayed in Chinese calligraphy style. I focused on choosing the theme of deception, and how one can get caught in its consequence.

Every song has a story, and for every story it has a purpose. This song is about expressing someone’s story through experimental typography in the form of a book.

The sound chosen for this book was about the mind of a person who suffers from adhd (Attentive Deficit Hyperactive Disorder). Since the mind of and adhd person works in random ways, collecting thoughts that would not make much sense to a regular person, but it can so much more to the sufferer. The best way to express the experience is through collage and interrupted typography. The book was designed for the public to experience what it feels like to have adhd through the imagery and even manner of reading. For example, reading the book backwards.

From observation and research, it was concluded that design has powerful effects on people and their decisions. The Rippple project’s objective is to educate small restaurants and bars on the value of design and its impact on their success. Rippple’s second objective is to connect the owners with designers while learning to leverage the language of design in order to communicate their ideas with confidence. I designed a campaign, a website, event, and a magazine to reach the targeted audience and achieve the brand’s objectives.
