The Peterborough village rebuild concept is *1 encourage community, residents, families to stay and rebuild* by 1.1 Developing Peterborough Street as the clear central street for the Village Neighbourhood It includes, play, community gardens, tree huts and art strategically placed along the street, to encourage community use 1.2 By developing structures on key intersections to become important city landmarks for the Peterborough village identity in the city 1.3 This gets built as temporary works and gets upgraded and extended over time as the community develops 1.4 by developing a series of linked smaller scaled lanes and public access that follows new key infrastructure like overland flow and fracture lines through larger blocks to encourage walking and cycling and connectivity through the village 1.4 by developing a new Cambridge terrace concept that includes a street that balances cycling and walking with traffic extending the Avon river park concept 1.5 by the promotion of the "Peterborough village concept" through the development of the village web site, drawings, workshops and media
