From site selection, to concept and facility function, The Root Retreat was developed. The Root Retreat caters to single parents and their families, as it offers a space for the family to grow and reconnect with one another. This new development includes 22,000 square feet of usable space, on the ground floor of a twelve story hospital tower, for the creation and constrcution of a Surgical Department and Diagnostic Imaging Centre.

These Zones were developed to work around the central nursing station to allow direct acces by practitioners to all zones in a timely and efficient manner. Areas such as the waiting area and family areas were implemented into the space to promote visitors comfort and ease. Patient zones and examination zones strategically placed to provide patients with window access.
