Conceptual plan There is room to fit 10 lanes, seating and a small concession area. By recessing the 6 middle lanes, this opens up the entrance side of the gymnasium to allow for a concession and shoe storage area. This also allows for more comfortable seating around the bowling lanes and makes space for additional lanes. Space can also be saved by using multi-functional table and ball storage.

Mechanics
Adding the drop ceiling will bring the room down to human scale and enclose the space. It will also provide a better environment for Cosmic Bowling (aka Night Bowling). Each lane is to have white canvas loosely hung from the approach to the pins and can be illuminated with alternating colors from the back. Having the canvases illuminated in different colors will also add to the Cosmic Bowling atmosphere! Source: Brunswick, Preplanning: The First Step to Creating the Perfect Bowling Center
