Serving the area since 1955, the Safety Council of Southwest Louisiana is a comprehensive educational and training resource for our community, functioning as an innovative model for other safety councils around the country. From site-specific plant safety orientations and customized badge security systems, the Safety Council of Southwest Louisiana is committed to meeting the safety and training needs of our members and the community we serve. We are a catalyst for employers and workers, and our mission is to support, develop, and enrich all forms of training as a way of making the workplace, and our community, safer. The mission of the Safety Council is based on four philosophical pillars: • Workforce development is essential to our region • Exceptional, value-based safety training is fundamental to workforce development • A professional, friendly environment that delivers outstanding customer service meets the needs of industry while developing our and their personnel Enriching the community through programs that promote a culture of safety is the goal of the Safety Council
Today, our highly skilled workforce operates in partnership with local industry. When a need is identified, the Safety Council develops and supplies quality, cost-effective training and consulting to local business and the community.
