This project was located in Tbilisi, Georgia. The main street chosen for the intervention is the Kote Marjanishvilli, which seems to have a direct link from the IDP zone to the Agmashenebeli Avenue. The entire focus for this intevention was to bring back the internally displaced people back to the old town. The initial problems they were facing was the lack of job opportunities and low income to afford housing in the city. With the intervention idea to convert an existing vehicular street (which links from IDP to the main street in the Tbilsi) to a pedestrian street, Job opportunities can increase for the IDP zones as well as they can come to put up their stalls to sell handmade products as it is a trend in Tbilisi for the people to innnovate various items or products in the houses. The new pedestrian street also circulates better vechicular movement across the city.

APPROACH STUDY
The approach to most buildings in this catchment is of Oblique nature. However, the corner accentuated buildings enjoy a Frontal kind of approach.
Irregular pattern formed by the corners of the building which is influctuated by the street pattern.
Corners of the buildings are dealt perfectly with the entrances towards each corner.
Path configuration exists mostly as a Network type. It defines itself as a jagged and unplanned configuration. All buildings in this region have an oblique approach to the buildings. An oblique approach enhances the effect of perspective on the front facade and form of a building.
Well defined street pattern empowers the built structure to be linear and well defined.
Well defined street pattern, having a lot of symmetrical built structures.
Rounded corners exist mostly in this zone.
Rounded corners exist mostly in this zone.
Path configuration exists mostly as a Grid type, creating squares at each nodes.
The path configuration is the combination of a grid like pattern and a linear pattern configuration.
Buildings along Rustaveli also have an oblique approach for the commercial-retail sector, however, the approach to the residential sections of the buildings are usually through a spiral approach.
Although the buildings here also have an oblique approach, there are some buildings like that of the Presidential Palace that have a Spiral A p p r o a c h . Irregular pattern and mostly the ones with courtyards.
Corners of the buildings are dealt perfectly with the entrances towards each corner.

There are various facilities that are available around the site, which includes many restaurants and cafe’s that are on the street chosen. Around the area, there are also a large quantity of hotels and motels which support the tourism, and hence supports the cause of tourists and locals to come to the site. However, the site does not have enough recreational actvities nor does it acquire any green spaces that can support the residents as well as tourists which come to see the site.

GENERAL COURTYARD GUIDELINES
ZONING LAYOUT Private Courtyards
Semi Private Courtyards
Public Park
Reserved Parking
Zoning of the courtyards based on proximity and access to the public and the residents. It was important to take into consideration with the problems the residents were facing with the courtyards being used as parking facilities, hence counteractive measures are taken place to segregate the zones, availing the parking .
Public park- On the Kote Marjanishvili street- foot of the bridge. - Semi Private courtyards- Enclosed spaced open for public. - Private courtyards- Reserved only for the residents. Acts as a connection between the buildings. - Courtyard reserved for parking- Internal courtyard space that could be used as a parking space.
1. Locate and shape the building to accommodate local topography and natural and cultural features of the site. 2. To support safe and convenient access and circulation for residents and visitors to higher density residential buildings by locating the main pedestrian entry to be clearly visible and accessible from the street. 3. To ensure permeability, entrances should be provided on min 2 or 3 sides of the block.

OVERALL SITE
Present day Dubai sees a lot of contemporary, postmodern works within the city, as it progresses towards becoming one of the leading global financial hubs. However, this growth traces back to the rich heritage of Old City Dubai that set stage for this vast development. Therefore, this synthesized output of architectural styles can be termed as “Interwoven” – styles that are blended closely. This concept can be further applied to the built environment, where intelligent infrastructure can contribute to Advanced Urbanism. Interweaving public – private partnerships, can create a seamless synthesis of outdoor and indoor living. This amalgam allows for flexibility and spatial flow that would eventually spark community desire for public use.

The goal of the project to provide a safe and efficient ventilation to the structure. This was achieved with the help of the concept of the lighthouses which was used in traditional methods in Dubai. Infusing the concept of the lighthouse as well as an open atrium, maximum natural ventilation was achieved to ensure comfort to the residents.

WAVEMALL MALL DESIGN IN JAIPUR, INDIA Semester - 5
THE SITE IDENTIFICATION LAND USE MAP
SITE ANALYSIS
This project was briefed to be designed in Jaipur, India. An intervention of a mall design was given to us in semester V. The name of the mall “ Wave Mall ”, as thought of, gave an impression to the facade’s of the built structure itself, which is in the form of a wave. The idea taken for this project was to hold up two main ingredients, Light and Sand. Light depicts the sense of hope that relates to the concept of providing a better lifestyle for the women in Jaipur. The Sand ingredient portrays or signifies the images of the people living in Jaipur. Fusing both the ingredients, the mall design was accomplished keeping in mind about the sustainable features as well as functionality of the structure and the ease for the visitors to enjoy the spaces inside the mall . Various activities was designed to fit the culture of Jaipur itself in the design.

Depicting hope penetrating in the form of light
Depicting the people living in Jaipur
A concept derived from the hardships and problems of the water sewage, as well as child labour, child marriages and illiteracy. Analysis had been undertaken and resulted in the root of all the problems is the lack of knowledge. Focusing on a majority of the female population. Hence, to empower women empowerment in Jaipur, The mall will adapt to a place where the visitors will not only experience the rich shopping culture of Jaipur, but will also recognize this structure as a type of recreational outlet which looks to give hope to the female population of the city, in the form of light penetrating the insides of the shopping complex designed.

The design industry has always catered to the trends within the food industry, be it fine dining or casual dining. Each of these come with their own industrial trends, and financial projections that direct the approach towards designing such spaces. Ristoria Della Natura, however, is an example where the lines between these components are blurred, creating a hybrid of sorts, something that can be termed as ‘Fine Casual’. This Italian cuisine themed eatery aims to be the perfect blend of the high quality food and ambience of a fine dining, with the efficient service and cost structure of a fast casual restaurant. By bringing in nature, organic ingredients and melding in technology through AI ordering systems, this eating house seeks to offer a high end aura along with the speed and convenience of a quick service.

ROCA ONE DAY DESIGN CHALLENGE - WASHROOM PRODUCT We designed a capsule – like bath space, intended for couples, who usually take turns for using a Bathroom each day. This capsule divides the bath space into 2 zones, allowing both to use the space at the same time, whilst still maintaining privacy between the zones – each having their distinct shower and changing area. The winning feature, however, of this design was the porous flooring of the shower that allowed water to penetrate to the subsequent layers underneath, which would otherwise stagnate on the floor, increasing the risk of slip and fall injuries. Porous Flooring
Read More
This porous flooring was also designed to have an abrasive surface that could further increase its anti-slip properties.

Suction fans placed just below the flooring would additionally allow the dirt to be pulled in, along with the water.

Filtering Process

The two levels of filtering would separate out the coarse and fine dirt, and pass on the filtrate to a storage tank. This water could then be used for non-drinking purposes, such as washing of cars, irrigation, etc.
