CE = Continuing Education opportunities Certificate = provides basic skills necessary for entry-level positions within the industry without the core curriculum coursework required in the two-year Associate in Applied Science degree A.A.S. = provides the necessary skills and knowledge to qualify for entry positions in an industry A.S. = coursework parallels the first two years of most four-year institutions offering a four-year degree
NKBA Certification Individuals who complete both the Interior Design A.A.S. degree and the Professional Certificate (an additional 29 hours beyond the A.A.S. degree) may be eligible for the first level of certification from the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).
Latest Technology Hands-on experience with Autocad, Microstation, Inventor, 20-20, Chief Architect and other Autodesk products are integral to the Drafting, Interior Design and Architecture curricula. Mastery of a variety of design software is essential for employment.
Field Trips Regular tours of local industries connect Drafting and Interior Design majors with potential employers and job opportunities.
