The class introduces basic techniques of the foil and épée. All equipment for students in this class is provided. The instructors are professional members of USA Fencing. Fencing - Intermediate/Advanced (Ages 13-Adult)

This class is for students, who have had at least three (3) semesters of fencing instruction or have been approved by the instructor to register for the class. All adult students who are competitive USA Fencing fencers should register for this class. Students in this class are required to be outfitted in full USA Fencing regulation standard uniform and all necessary foil and epee equipment. Students should consult with the instructor BEFORE purchasing equipment. Depending on the student’s experience, the class provides beginning, intermediate or advanced instruction in the basic principles of modern sport fencing. The class emphasizes instruction in the techniques of the foil and épée. Depending on student interest, some instruction in the techniques of the sabre may be available. This class is more strenuous than the Adult Introduction to Fencing Class. The Monday class consists of drills and competitive bouting. The first half of the Thursday class is a review of basic techniques and development of the skills of the referee by interaction with beginning adult fencers during the Adult Introduction to Fencing Class. The second half of the Thursday class and all Saturday classes are intermediate and advanced training through drills and competitive bouts. Friday classes are intermediate and advanced training on either a one to one basis with the instructor or a teaching assistant as available or a small group lesson. Children Drop-off and Pick-up - Children age 12 and under must be delivered to and picked up from the classroom, or teaching facility, by their parent or guardian.

disAbility Services - Any student, who because of a disabling condition, may require special arrangements in order to meet course requirements should contact disAbility Services in Room 119 of the Student Service Center on the Washington Street Campus, phone 371-5436.

Books & Supplies - Books and Supplies are not required in most courses; however, some specialized courses will require textbooks and other supplies. Students will be notified at the first class meeting. In some cases, supplies are furnished and included in the course fee. Textbooks are available at College Bookstores.

Refunds - Unless otherwise stated in brochures, flyers or other promotional materials, the AC Continuing Education Refund Policy is as follows: •

Students must initiate all refund requests and transfers from one class to another.

Refunds are processed within 45 days.

If a student transfers to a different class, any additional tuition due must be paid at the time the transfer is processed.

If a class is cancelled, the student automatically receives a 100 percent refund.

Open the internet browser and go to www.actx.edu/ce Enter the course ID or keyword in the search bar and click Search. You may also browse under Find Classes. Click on the course title and then click register/more info button Review course listing and click Add to Cart and then Proceed to Checkout. You may continue to check out or add additional course at this time. Please note you may only register one student at a time. Once you have added all the courses to your shopping cart, Click “Check Out.” If you have never registered for a course before, you will need to proceed as a new student. If you are a returning student, please log on with your ACNet ID and Password to complete the registration.
