Amarillo College Kid’s Camps at Ascension Academy have supervised midmorning/afternoon snack breaks. Please send snacks with your child for snack time. For all day campers, please send a packed lunch with your student. A supervised lunch-hour with fun activities from 12 to 1 P.M. will be provided for students, free of charge, who register for both morning and afternoon camps.

Children Drop-off and Pick-up - Children age 12 and under must be delivered to and picked up from the classroom, or teaching facility, by their parent or guardian. disAbility Services - Any student, who because of a disabling condition, may require special arrangements in order to meet course requirements should contact disAbility Services in Room 119 of the Student Service Center on the Washington Street Campus, phone 371-5436. Books & Supplies - Books and Supplies are not required in most courses; however, some specialized courses will require textbooks and other supplies. Class Cancellation - Amarillo College reserves the right to cancel a class or classes when necessary. Course Payment - Payment for courses is due at the time of enrollment. Inclement Weather - In the event that severe weather conditions such as snow storms, ice storms, or other acts of nature create hazardous conditions and/or extended power outages, the President of Amarillo College may find it necessary to close the College. Students and faculty are advised to listen to local radio and television stations for announcements and updates. Refunds - Unless otherwise stated in brochures, flyers or other promotional materials, the AC Continuing Education Refund Policy is as follows: • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Students must initiate all refund requests and transfers from one class to another. Refunds are processed within 45 days.

If a student transfers to a different class, any additional tuition due must be paid at the time the transfer is processed. If a class is cancelled, the student automatically receives a 100 percent refund.

Until the close of business the last working day prior to the beginning date of the class: 100 percent refunds will be given. Class transfers are allowed.
