Expanding Our Infant and Toddler Program Infants The goal of our infant program is to foster the development of trust, assisting in the natural evolution of the young child’s personality. We know that trust is cultivated in an environment where teachers respond attentively to the infant’s need to be loved and accepted. During these first formative years, we maintain our focus on the infant’s need for individual care and attention.

Toddler The aim of the Amarillo Montessori Academy toddler program is to assist children as they experience the basic human tasks of trust, separation, independence, and self-control. The focus is both on curriculum and materials and on helping the toddler respond to the rapid and conflicting changes of this developmental age.

“It All Starts With A Good Nights Sleep”

Hi Moms, Dads & Kidz, It’s me...Benny the Bee! I hope I’ve been doing a good job as the “official spokesbee” for The Kidz Digest. Since school is out and summer is here...there’s lots of fun stuff to do! Our calendar of events for the summer is so big, we can barely fit it all in! I hope you are enjoying your summer vacation and I would love to hear about your family trips and summer adventures. Always “bee” safe during the summer and wear your sunscreen, drink lots of water, put bug spray on, ride your bike safely and always let your parents know where you are. Me and my worker bees have been gathering lots of information over the past couple of issues to give you and your family lots of great information about new and exciting activities and businesses in our community. I would like to thank our advertisers for their support of our vision for a publication that enriches our children’s lives. I am “beeond” thankful to Stork Vision for passing our digests out to all of the doctor’s offices they visit each week. And Jonathan Hale with Channel 7 who gives us a “kidz space” at every one of their promotional events! So check them out and you could meet me! We have been getting so many compliments on what a great digest we have and we have our readers, our businesses that distribute the digest and all of companies that like to “partner up” with us to make The Kidz Digest a valuable and fun publication! Parents are encouraged to join in the fun and send in your Kidz cute pictures, drawings, funny things they say or do, or exemplary behavior or achievements. Send me your suggestions on how we can make The Kidz Digest something both you and your children can enjoy!

Submit Your FREE or Discounted Services For Children At No Charge! Email to: submit@amarillokidz.com While the majority of the listings are places where kids eat free some of the restaurants charge a small amount – in most occasions $.99 so they are not actually “free” but a very good deal nonetheless. You will also find that some of the restaurants where kids eat free have certain restrictions whether it be limited hours on a certain day, the number of kids eating free per purchasing adult or age restrictions. Please call the restaurant location you plan on attending to get your free kids meal before you pack the kids in the car to go. Some of the individual restaurants may choose to opt out of the promotion or have slight differences. And please let us know if any of these special offers expire or have changed.
